Gallito de las Rocas Lodge y Travel(Gocta) — Hotel in Valera

I travelled with a friend and we both really enjoyed this place. We had room number 8 with a view to the Gocta Waterfall and starry sky at nights. We really enjoyed the breakfast (included in the very reasonable price of the hospedaje - especially compared to the neighbouring overpriced Gocta Lodge) which were varied every day and the evenings spent in the café which forms a part of the hospedaje where you can get, among else, amazing cheesecakes, top-quality coffee and really good liquors (we did taste them all)! Kevin, the receptionist, was always helpful and kind and sharing his good vibes, and Eusebio, the owner had wonderful stories to share about Cocachimba and his ancestors and the treks int he area. The location of the place is great, as you are in a calm area but right by the path where beginns the trek to the Gocta (and other) waterfalls. To get to Cocachimba from Chachapoyas, take a colectivo (10 soles per person) and then a moto taxi (15 soles for two). Thank you for everything, Eusebio and Kevin,...

This place was so nice. It was a very good price compared to other ones around, way cheaper. Rooms very clean and cost, beautiful location. The host such honest and sweet people. Wonderful caring family, I just love meeting such people on my way. For a picky travellers the conditions might not be perfect, like the otside shared bathroom and very simple accommodation. But for a free spirit travellers it's a perfect simple...

De las mejores experiencias que e tenido, terminado el año y comenzando un año nuevo con este hermoso hospedaje y obviamente Eusebio como anfitrión the Best one, el hospedaje es bonito y acogedor, las camas me parecen en lo justo más el ambiente de cada cuarto es preciso, cuentan con desayuno de 7 a 9am, una salita para ver TV o conversar un rato, están agrandando a un tercer piso que se que tendrá una vista espectacular. Algunos cuartos tienen vista directa a la Catarata de Gocta, se recomienda verlos con anticipación porque vuelan. Eusebio nos recogió y nos dejó en el hospedaje, todo el trato es bueno, siempre acompañando y dando los mejores tips. Último día nos dejó en Kuelap para después traernos a Chachapoyas, nada aburrido y buenas conversaciones. El tour que quieras, Eusebio te lo hace o lo crea así que no duden en preguntar por el ya que es siempre el que los recibe y ayuda para lo que deseen. No puedo decir nada malo porque no lo hay, siempre existen mejoras que se irán dando con el tiempo, porque tienen para crecer más , así que nos estamos viendo again in this year. Recomendado de todas maneras, familias, parejas, amigos, para todo gusto así que ya saben sigan creciendo para arriba y el apoyo de la gente lo tienen. Saludos, éxitos y nos vemos...
