GoctaLab Art Lodge — Hotel in Valera

We loved staying at GoctaLab over Christmas. The owners, Gianna & Serchio, welcomed us warmly with the most delicious homemade curry into there home. They designed and decorated the apartments beautifully with a view of the Gocta Waterfall from every room, the dining table, the bed and even under the shower. The food was the best we had in whole Peru: they have a great selection of dishes, even a lot vegetarian, which they change every season. A lot of the ingredients come from their own vegetable-/fruit- and herb-garden. On top, they have home-grown coffee which was so delicious (I bought two bags to take home with me!). You can do nice hikes in the surrounding areas, take a trip to Kuelap or relax, enjoy the view and the tranquility. If that isn’t enough they offer Yoga-, Cooking- and Art-retreats....||We stayed 5 days and were sad to leave.||We can highly recommend this beautiful place to everybody, from couples, to families or...

The BEST lodge with the BEST people, and the BEST view of the waterfall & mountains directly from your room. AMAZING food (locally grown, farm to table) and great service.
