In planning for my daughter's wedding, my wife made a trip last year to scout out the venue and she couldn't praise the location enough. So we flew the family out for a week before the event to relax at the resort. What a mistake.||||It is a popular location for events in the community, and if you don't care about cleanliness, when it's YOUR day for the event, you have the staff's attention. But if you are merely a paying guest on a day when someone ELSE is having an event, well they will just smile and say, "Sorry! We can't help you because there's an event!" ||||So on our second or third evening at 7pm, when we arrived to the resort to have our evening meal, the answer was, "Sorry! The kitchen is closed! We're having an event!" and they said said they had decided to ALLOW us to order food in!! Only problem is, they are outside the delivery area of ANY restaurant. We had no transportation, no food and a hungry family and the resort staff's answer was, "Sorry sir!"||||Yep. Yours is a very sorry operation.||||One of the main reasons we booked was what my wife described as a crystal clear pool, which was accessible 24/7. When we arrived, their "infinity pool" was a dark green, murky mess, full of coconuts, insects and leaves. It was infinitely, disgustingly filthy. Their pool maintenance plan is to "vacuum the pool every day." How about running the filtration system, and using water balancing chemicals? I made the mistake of actually getting in the water to try to deal with the overwhelming heat, and to prove to my wife that I wasn't upset (I was) with the state of the resort. And the slime on the steps caused me to slip and fall and injure my foot. You can just sit in the lounge chairs next to the murky pond, if you're interested in being dinner for ants.||||And if the disgusting, filthy pool isn't enough to dissuade you, I made the mistake of requesting a top sheet for the bed. Apparently that's not normal, because I had to request it. Expect to sleep without a sheet. And you'd be further ahead! I got my sheet and left it folded up on the end of the bed. Later that night after the air conditioning had cooled me off, I flipped open the sheet in the dark and spread it out over myself and went back to sleep. In the morning I saw... well... I genuinely think someone died in that sheet. There was a pooled stain covered with mildew and mold that I had been cuddling up in all night. OMG.||||Expect there to be NO internet in the rooms. You will have to at least go outside, or up to the main reception area to have a hope of a connection.||||They run the event centre nearly 24/7. Don't plan on sleeping here, because they will be yelling, and singing and testing the P.A. system from 5am - midnight. And your room backs onto the event centre, so when they're yelling and singing and testing the P.A. system, it sounds like they're yelling and singing and testing the P.A. system right in your room WITH you.||||And the cherry on top, when it came to be our day to have the event, they had decided to freshly paint their event chairs. And our dresses and suits went home with gold spray paint on them. And the person running the music for the event should have done more testing, I guess, because they cut the song off in the middle of our father-daughter dance. Maybe they thought it was running too long...?||||This is the most amateurish, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassingly badly operated resort/property we have EVER stayed at. My recommendation: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ATTEMPT TO RELAX HERE OR HOLD AN EVENT HERE. If you're okay with cooling off in a swampy, green, slimy pool on a 40 degree day, and slipping on the gross, slimy steps getting in and out, this is your place. ||||Otherwise, I STRONGLY suggest you...
Read moreCame here with my family, we ordered a bunch of food. We ordered kinilaw ng isda. It tasted so bad and rotten. Everyone was gagging. It stunk like rotten fish, ofcourse we let the waiter know. Waiter was very polite, he brought the food back in the kitchen. He came back a few minutes later saying that that’s just how it’s suppose to taste, “Hindi lang daw kami sanay sa lasa” LOL. He also said, that since it’s been “punched” out, we have to pay for it! Now the order was only 400 or less peso. I could easily pay for it. So ofcourse we refused to pay. He later said that they need to call the head manager muna daw. Grabe!!! It eventually got fixed, and they said not too worry. But if we weren’t adamant about not paying, talagang pagbabayarin kami. I understand that things can happen sometimes na mga food issues but you guys can be better at handling it. Especially given the situation we ordered so much food and drinks. We aren’t trying to get anything free, but i refuse to pay for something bad. Anyway, everyone enjoyed...
Read moreParking - no decent parking space as it is located outside the resort which is not paved. If there are events like when we went there during Mother's Day celebration, a lot of the guests had their vehicles parked along the road only.
Food - tastes delicious and the options are quite good for the price. Im talking about their dinner buffet here. Nonetheless, it was disappointing that a lot of guests availed their promo for the Mothers Day buffet but ended up lining too long in the queue and the food turned out not sufficient for every guests. Some of them was not able to eat the viands because it was not available anymore.
Staff here are nice, warm and friendly.
Pool is also nice and clean, however, you can only swim there for four hours for the amount of Php200 if you are not checked in in the hotel. Its a good strategy to maintain the exclusivity of the pool and not to make it too crowded. However, for someone like me who likes staying long hours in the swimming pool, its a...
