Went here at CaSoBe and stayed in one of their Cocoon rooms for my birthday with my husband and our 2 y/o. We had a great time and we really loved how beautiful, serene AND CLEAN this place was. Here's a breakdown of our experience:

The beach: Little ones wiill enjoy the beach without adults worrying too much for their safety since the tide is usually low and the sea is calm (no waves at all). Kids will love exploring here—there are many things to discover at the beach: shells, starfishes, hermit crabs, small schools of fishes. etc. I recommend wearing aqua shoes with thicker soles here though since there is the risk of stepping onto sea urchins and sharp shells/rocks.

Aquaria Waterpark: There's also a waterpark in the resort (Aquaria) with a 3-storey high slide (for adults and kids 4ft above), 6ft pool, 4ft pool, and a 2ft kiddie pool. It was clean and the water was perfectly warm!

Cocoon Room: We loved our room, the size is just perfect for our little family for an overnight stay. Kids below 6 y/o get to stay free. It was a nice "glamping" experience. Normally, each cluster of 5 Cocoons share 1 common shower room and 1 toilet room. However, the Cocoon we stayed in was just next to the bigger public shower and toilet house which made it so much more convenient for us. No need to worry about overcrowding in the shower rooms because this one is exclusive for Cocoon guests only and there are plenty of other shower rooms within the resort for day tour guests.

The Service: The staff were all very friendly and polite. My only critique is that I think they could improve more on their actual service. They gave us a number where we can reach their guest services office and mentioned several times that we can text that number for help/if we need anything. However, when I reached out to that number to ask about arranging for an island hopping tour, no one ever got back to me. I was feeling lazy to go to their frontdesk since it was at the other end so I just let it pass. I do hope they improve on this though since they were the ones who kept on reminding us how we can easily contact them through that number. The other thing too was we had a horrible experience at one of their restaurants (The Sands), but that's for a different review, so I won't go into detail here.

Overall, this was one of the best resorts we've been to and we plan on returning next summer (or sooner if time and the...

This was our second time staying at Cocoon’s in CaSoBe—our first visit was three years ago when they were still relatively new. Since then, their guest services have improved significantly. It used to be quite difficult to reach the staff for assistance, but now they’re incredibly proactive. They check in with you both in the morning and evening to see if you need anything, and it’s now very easy to contact the guest services office.

The beach remains just as beautiful and is the perfect place for kids to play, especially since Calatagan is known for its calm, family-friendly waters. The Aquaria pool is also great for an afternoon swim, offering a variety of options: a 2-foot and 3-foot pool for kids, two 4-foot pools, and a 6-foot pool with a big slide. There are plenty of cabanas by the beach and poolside lounge chairs for guests to relax on.

It’s also great that they’ve designated separate shower and toilet facilities for day tour guests and overnight Cocoon guests.

For a small family of two or three looking for a budget-friendly option with five-star service, I highly recommend booking a Cocoon room.

That said, I do want to mention a few maintenance issues in the room we stayed in (Cocoon 5): the doorstep is already dented and feels unsafe to step on, the safe box didn’t work even after they replaced the batteries (the compartment itself seems broken), and the decorative “twinkling” lights weren’t working either. These are minor setbacks, though, and didn’t take away from our overall experience.

I would also like to commend the staff at Captain Barbozza restaurant, where we had most of our meals during our stay. Their service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience all the more enjoyable.

We still had a wonderful stay, and we’ll definitely...

We recently stayed at Cocoons Casobe, and it was truly a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was a well-thought-out resort. The facilities were comprehensive and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to relax and enjoy everything the property offers.

The resort boasts three restaurants, each serving delicious food although it took some time for our food to be served when we dined in at Captain Barboza (western cuisine).

We especially enjoyed the big pool—having a slide was such a fun touch. They provided inflatables for the slide so that was extra fun.

The Cocoon room we booked was cozy and well-lit, with ample lighting around the resort as well, which made evening walks feel safe. The cleanliness of the common bathrooms was a thoughtful touch, and it was clear that the resort takes pride in maintaining high standards throughout the property. Some parts though were under repair due to the recent typhoon that badly hit the area which was completely acceptable.

One of the biggest highlights was the staff—they were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and not to mention the good response time from the reservations team who took care of our booking.

Lastly, parking was ample, which made our trip even more convenient. They provided inflatables golf cart going into the resort from the parking.

We really enjoyed and now we’re already planning for our next stay with the whole family...

**Review for Cocoons Casobe, Calatagan, Batangas** We had an amazing stay at **Cocoons Casobe**! The place is **super beautiful**, and our toddler absolutely loved it—especially the playground, which made it extra **kid-friendly**. The peaceful ambiance also makes it **perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat**. One of the highlights was the free access to the Aquaria Water Park, where we enjoyed the fun water slide. Booking was easy through their official website. We got one Cocoon for our small family (me, my husband, and our toddler) and a Crusoe Cabin with a sea view for my in-laws—both were super worth it! The staff were polite and accommodating, just like in Cocoons Laiya, which we visited last year. But we have to say, the beach in Calatagan is even better! Highly recommended!
