Worst hotel you could ever stay in Calbayog!! So disgusting!!
Clearly, the staff were not trained and the manager is so rude. He even blames the customers. When I complained about my room, he even remarked why only after two hours did I complain. I dozed off when I entered the room due to early flight, and when I woke up, about to take unpack my things, that's the only time I found out that the cabinet has used towels still hanging inside. The trash bin still has trash, and the bedsheets seemed as not yet replaced. There were also strands of hair on the table. The floor is dirty and sticky.
I asked for a different room. When the staff accompanied me to another room, it's still unclean. With slippers obviously used but not tidied. Used tissue in the toilet. Not even placed in the tissue holder. So I asked for another room.
The next room, upon checking - bedsheets, pillowcases were not replaced. YOU COULD LITERALLY SMELL THAT ITS NOT FRESH. No trash bin in the room. The doorknob in the CR is rusty. The toilet seat is wet. The toilet window is full of dust and with garbage on top. The sink is clogged. There are 2 plungers in the CR, one is even folded (sign that it's been used). The rug is dirty. No towels in the room, no slippers. The curtains are literally textile not even sewn, evident on the edges. It also feels unsafe because the balcony sliding door seems to have an opening because air coming in even with closed doors.
This place is so disgusting. Can't even sleep here peacefully as you can literally feel everything is dirty. Not to mention that there are people drinking on the streeys who are so loud. You may think they are just outside your window.
Definitely not...
Read moreThe staff that checked us in were nice and friendly. The staff when we checked out was nice enough to ask us how our stay was and listened to my concerns. Hopefully they take note of reviews and improve in the future.
Our room was clean. Sheets were new, cabinet and tables were clean and dust free. Lobby and hallways were clean as well. The shower and toilet were not set up well in the bathroom (see photo). There were mosquitoes in the room and we woke up with itchy bumps. Elevator was not working when we were there. We did not get a good sleep because there was a guy singing videoke from 8pm at the housing in front of the hotel. We were not able to take it anymore and went down at 3am to complain to the front desk. The staff was sleeping despite the noise, maybe they're used to this but it's a hotel and paying guests have expectations. When we raised our concern, the staff went across the street to talk to the guy and he turned it off.
We were awakened by construction noise at 7am. Breakfast is included in our stay so we went upstairs at 745am to a louder construction noise. They were doing construction beside the breakfast area so we have to deal with the noise the entire time. Added to that, a staff's phone was charged in one of the outlets at the breakfast area and it was ringing. The owner (staff) came to get his phone after over 5mins of it ringing. Everyone here probably are so used to the noise all day. We werent informed of construction during check in and why would noisy construction work start at 7am in a hotel building with paying guests?
Glad we only stayed...
Read moreAs of this date, April 1, 2023 which the photos are taken, they are not yet officially opened but there tentative date to open is within this month. Though they are not yet catering clients as of the moment, the hotel will definitely be worth to stay for several reasons. One is the accessibility of the place. It is located along the national Highway which is really easy to locate, plus they do have a parking space at the front space. Second, the view behind the hotel would be amazing because it is also near the shore. And it will be overlooking the new coastal road. Lastly, they have an elevator/lift which would be nice if you will be staying at the rooms on the higher floors. It is not common in this city for structures to have this amenity.
They will gonna be open soon, so if you will be staying in Calbayog, make sure to have a night or two on this hotel which is...
