GV Hotel Catbalogan — Hotel in Catbalogan

I was first checked into a "matrimonial room: on the first floor. It was a nightmare. Small, stinking, no wi-fi reception. I accepted room as the other choice was a 4th floor room with no elevators. I was also in a hurry for a meeting. Once I came back in the evening, I let the front desk know that the room was unacceptable, and I would move to another hotel. The lady at the reception then moved me to room #1 next to the reception. Slightly bigger, spotty wi-fi, but most importantly, no stinky smell. I stayed two nights. There was a local fiesta going on with lots of food, drinking dancing and public service programming going on all day to about midnight, just outside. There was noise, but it did not bother me. They allowed me to store my drinks in the reception area cooler, so...

The the place served its purpose, bed to sleep in and a bathroom to use. We stayed for 5 nights.

👎 Unclean (the whole room) the AC was full of black dust bedsheet were wash but there are still stains bathroom was a bit dirty (walls and the window) the floor was sandy the floor mat was flipped because the other side was dirty cabinet is very dusty the blinds are damage and dirty 👎 They reception is closed between 10pm-5am 👎 They lock the main door, and on our 2nd night we were locked out. We couldn't get in, tried calling the landline nunber but no one was answering. 👎 Parking space was infront of the hotel, can accomodate motorcycle and if you have a car you'll park at the side...

This hotel is located by the plaza.Unexpectedly, the Front desk officer required us to show them the confirmation of our booking which we did not have with us, so we have to go out and find a cafe. It was a circus since we do not know our way around.The room was located facing to the plaza so it was noisy because of the huge flat screen showing telenovelas on a loud volume.The room is small with hardly a space between the bed and the wall ,a tv and a/c but no outlet to charge your mobile but it had clean bathroom for Php650.00. Free wifi but only at the lobby and no restaurant.Good thing we are just passing through but this is good for...
