King Bean Cafe — Restaurant in Catbalogan

I went to King Bean Cafe with my friends last weekend and we had a great time. The cafe is located in front of BDO on Del Rosario Street, which is convenient and easy to find1. The cafe has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, with comfortable seats and a nice view of the street. The staff are courteous and attentive, and they serve the orders quickly. The cafe offers a variety of coffee, tea, smoothies, frappes, and other beverages, as well as cakes, pastries, sandwiches, pasta, and rice meals. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a blueberry cheesecake, and they were both delicious. The coffee was smooth and creamy, and the cake was moist and rich. My friends also enjoyed their orders, such as the mocha frappe, the chocolate cake, and the carbonara. The only downside was that the cafe was quite crowded and noisy, so it was not very suitable for studying or working. It has been decades since I last stepped in Catbalogan. Was pleasantly surprised that a coffee shop like King Bean, serving real coffee and good food is now existing in this place. Tried their Clubhouse sandwich with Mojos on the side for Php170 - good size, great taste, for a good price. Their Cafe Americano, King size is reasonable for Php110. Iced cappuccino, king size, Php120. Not bad, not bad at all if you're comparing it to prices in Manila! They also serve different cakes, cookies and pastries. There's a free wifi, but you can only use it for 1 hour. Be warned though that internet connection and phone signal in Catbalogan is unstable and poor. So if you're trying to do some work here at King Bean with your laptop, leave your work behind and just enjoy...

Gave 1 star. Don't get me wrong. The food is great one of the best. The only problem is the service crew, it was supposed to be a family dinner we were around 6 pax. We requested to use the 2nd floor since they have bigger tables there. But the staff insisted we stay on the 1st floor to use the 2 person table with a glass in between tables. it was a hassle that we need to stand up to just get nachos or mojos on the other side. We requested again to move upstairs as they can see the space is not enough on those 2 person tables what they did they just stared at each other and acted like they did not even hear us or we exist. I mean it was supposed to be a 'FAMILY' dinner. This happened 11-06-2022...
