We arrived in the middle of a heavy downpour of rain but thankfully someone from the hotel picked us up from the port with their red Toyota Innova. We were allowed to checkin as early as 7am. Apparently, lots of guests checked out the other day to avoid the coming typhoon. ||||The place doesn't look like a hotel. It looks like a normal house. It's not along the main road but just walking distance. It's not too far from Tagbilaran City and Dumaluan Beach if you rent a motor bike. I can't tell about taking public transpo. ||||We stayed in Rm# 104. The room is clean, there's a large enough bed, a cable TV and aircon. It's not the best but it's not bad either. I slept well actually. There's a little bit problem with the room not being very sound proof from the outside though. If you are a little sensitive to sound, then it might affect your sleep. Actually, I had a good night's sleep as I've said.||||There's a functional hot and cold shower. Toiletries were not provided though. The bathroom is not that nice nor brand new looking but still clean and perfectly usable. ||||The cabinet is very simple and looks old but still working fine. ||||The driver who fetched us from the port was friendly. He helped us with our country side DIY tour. The other staff were also okay, not really friendly but just doing their job.||||The breakfast is simple yet delicious (ham and egg for both of us). ||||We were also able to leave our things safely with them after we checked out.||||Overall, the hotel is not grand nor classy. It's very simple but everything is working fine. I have no complaints and the price of 1,100PHP is within the budget. Some hotels may have better amenities but the prices go up to...
Read moreWe arrived on the port at 4pm and the hotel van was 20 minutes late. We met the owner of the hotel which is a very sweet and a nice lady. Who greeted us with a warm welcome then she explained to us why they were late cuz they just got their new van! And we are the first passengers! We are so pleased with that. Yaaaayy!! The room was very nice and clean, the bathroom is a bit small but we got hot and cold water which is important to us. The water from the Ac was dripping on the floor but it's no problem at all!! The breakfast was nice.. The receptionists were very polite to us and not grumpy Which made us extended one more day. Lol! The location is far from the city proper and panglao but you can get groceries 200 meters away from the hotel and there is also a resto/cafe called lawis which me and my fiancé had a dinner date for our 2 years celebration. they served great and affordable foods with great sea view and Perfect at night. Tip: if you are planning to go to panglao on a motorbike or motorcab you can walk to dawis church 300 meters away from the hotel there are drivers who parks there for 150pesos and 200 for motorcabs. No worry about the people in bohol they are very sweet and helpful specially to...
Read moreCoco Grove Tourist Inn is located in Poblacion, Dauis, Bohol... It is located near the church and Tagbiliran City.
The place is not impressive. It's okay for a stay if you are not particular to aesthetic ambiance. The establishment is old as well as its amenities. The water pressure in the shower and sink is not constant, but it's there (that's the only thing important).
Customer service needs improvement. We asked for a room service and they cleaned the room but the towels were not changed.
The location is nice since it's close to Tagbiliran and Panglao, so whichever places you want to go, you can just go there instantly.
But for us, it's at least we experience not to expect so much from hotels from red doorz... since we booked this place because it's in red doorz. I have been in 4 different red doorz inns and hotels, and their service and room quality are impeccable.
A night before our booking, we sleep from an Inn that provides complete facilities and worth beyond our pay. So we really felt disappointed when we arrived in this Inn.
Maybe they need some renovations or changes in themes and clean...
