BOOKED THIS ONLY FOR THE PRICE PROS: - best price at time of booking. got this for 500 a night with free breakfast. - good location. not the best but very convenient as it is in a central location and a few mins drive to most tourist spots. quite accessible, there are few convenience store outside and a gas station (3 mins walk). you can also hail tricycles once you are on the street. location is also more peaceful, calm and quieter than resorts near beaches. - staff is always available and has provided most of our requests. Owner is responsive on email and will help you with your requests but some requests were not granted which is a bit disappointing considering that the owner assured us that the request will be granted upon arrival. - internet is free and wifi speed is good CONS: - the villa is hard to find as it is not visible from the street. you still need to walk down a sloping path and past a few houses to reach the villa. - location is not recommended if you have big/heavy luggage. only good for backpackers. - hard to get around the villa as the steps are not fully paved, uneven and some paths are tiny (some areas would require some ducking and squeezing in) - cottages a bit old and some parts worn out, garden is not well maintained. - room was advertised as having AC, but room has no AC. there were only fans. - curtains are tiny and does not cover the entire window so you can be seen easily from the outside. - lights on the sala and bed area is not working. we only had light from the toilet. - staff never visited the room to clean during our entire stay (3 nights). prepare to clean after yourselves. toilet floor in the morning gets dirty from insect droppings. - water pump can get very noisy at night especially if your cottage is near one. - there is a free breakfast but dont expect a heavy one. they mostly serve just pancakes or toasts with egg. breakfast also has schedule and is being served only from 730am to 9am so you might need to adjust your other schedules around this if you wanna get their breakfast. - toiletries provided is just a roll of tissue - no signal reception in the area. nearest area you can get signal is vanilla beach or corong corong town. traveler tip: - rent your own scooter/motorbike to get around easier. it is also cheaper than commuting. the owner/staff can help you get this and they have better prices than renting from the town proper. - get your tours online like klook or travel agents as tour prices on front desk is quite pricey. - buy bottled water. tap water is not recommended for drinking and gargling. - travel light

The host , Ray, of Coco Garden Villas is great and his staff too are helpful assisting us all the tours, where to go and transport booking back to Puerto pickup from the villa and drop off at PPS airport. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the villa where the bamboo hut is clean not too fancy but cosy and cool and comfortable to sleep at night.I would like to share with you my experience because I never imagine that should felt even better than my home( after 7 years live far away from home)first day that we arrived we broke the shower and everything was wet(specially the mattress , when we told them , they tried to repair super fast but unfortunately they couldn't , then they offered to change to other room and his own because there were not more option available, for sure we accepted. When we woke up we found him sleeping on reception bench , we couldn't believe it. They were smiling every time , providing us info about el Nido activities ( no pushing us to contract with their partners) One of the best experience and for sure the better host .

Staff very helpful, giving rides into town and back. The cottages are cute and it's very good value. Negatives: animals very loud the whole night long - dogs, roosters, etc as well as music from 6.30am at full volume. It's a long way from town/the beach, and there's no hot water.

The little Bamboo villas are really comfortable and spacious. You have a big bed, big own bathroom with nice water pressure . The villas are even equipped with a nice seating area which is really nice to have. The villas are located 15 min scooter drive outside of el nido town and 1 km to Las cabanas beach in a little philippino village away from the el nido crowds. That also means some rooasters and dogs making some noice (which happens basically everywhere on the Philippines) but you get nice authentic surroundings. Thanks to George the hotel offers free rides to town and pick up which is a great convenient service. The best thing about this place was the staff. They will organize everything for you such as Vans, tours etc. They will also try everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible and are always polite and friendly. They will do everything on your request. Also the owner Rey was one of the nicest guys we met on our journey so far. A very funny and talkative guy who really shows interest in you and provides everything you need. I have barely experienced such a hospitality like this. The only downside is no that you don't have wifi and barely signal in this area. Nothing the hotel could do about since the infrastructure for that hasn't been build so far. Thank you so much for a great...

I booked this cottage for four nights, expecting a smooth and enjoyable stay. However, upon arrival, I was informed by the receptionist that my booking had been canceled. I had never received any confirmation of this—not from the booking platform, nor from the owner. When I asked for proof of the cancellation and a confirmation that I would get my money back, the receptionist could only give me the owner's phone number. After multiple messages back and forth with the owner, I am still no closer to a resolution. Weeks have passed, and I have yet to receive my refund or even an official cancellation confirmation. To make matters worse, when we asked if there were any available rooms, we were told that everything was fully booked. This left us scrambling for a last-minute alternative, forcing us to book a much more expensive hotel an hour away. This experience was incredibly frustrating, unprofessional, and costly. If you’re considering staying here, be aware that communication and reliability are serious issues. I would not recommend this place to anyone. On the picture you will see my name Alvin, and behind it...
