Unfair pricing Unfair landlord I think they’re a bit overpriced. The landlord also offers unfair pricing. We’ve talked about transferring to a different apartment because the conditions are not favorable to us and the landlord agreed. We have agreed to a pro-rated price of the one week stay we did (which is 1k for one week, 5k for the whole month with a separate electric and water bill). He didn’t give the 1month advance and 1 month deposit when we said we were going to transfer. Instead, we waited for over a month and in the end, he got 4500 php out of the 1 week stay we did. Note this: we stayed for 4 nights, 5 days without the amenities of being a transient but he still made us pay 4,500 (900 per night - transient). Check-in was a bit awkward, but didn't take too long. The room is quite basic. TV channel selection is sparse, and the Internet is worthless. There is very little to do in the immediate area, and food choices are scant, unless you are willing to eat local food.

The shower did not have hot water. I asked for assistance in having a trike booked for my early trip to the airport. While assured the reservation had been placed, no one was at reception in the morning, so I found my own trike. The place has a fence with an open gate that is spread across the parking lot, at night. However, no security guards are on-duty, and the lot is quite dark.

everytime I visit Kalibo I always stay in Oliveros Place. The owner was really kind and the staff were really helpful in answering my queries about the transportation in kalibo. They do not have elevators and on the way up, you'll pass by a corridor that has a dormitory feels (because, yes, it is also a dormitory for students) but the topmost floor is where my room is located.
