This place is truly a hidden gem 💎 and a slice of paradise🏝️ — where every detail is meticulously crafted to ensure an unforgettable experience.🌟 I had such an amazing experience that my visit to this place has left me with memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. 🥲

As soon as my friends and I arrived the resort, we were welcomed by a team of highly-trained, knowledgeable and welcoming staff whose warm hospitality and attentiveness to details elevated our stay to a whole new level.🍹

Something that really impressed me was the staff’s willingness to accommodate special requests, even if they were not on the menu or out of their usual responsibilities. They were always eager to assist, and their dedication to providing exceptional service was very remarkable.👌💯

I also wanna mention that I appreciate that they placed a decent internet connection (powered by Starlink). 📡 The speed is more than sufficient, making it easy to stay connected to compensate for the lack of cellular network in the area.📶

The resort's compact size is deceptive, as I never found myself bored or lacking for things to do. They have an exceptional scuba diving spot. 🤿 Even in their house reef, you are treated to a breathtaking underwater world filled with lively marine life and colorful coral formations. 🐠🪸One of our friends was snorkeling to his heart’s desire for 2 straight days, he had sunburn over sunburn!🥵 The resort offers a range of activities that we unfortunately weren’t able to do: kayaking & stand-up paddle boarding. 🛶Unfortunately, we haven’t had the chance to have cool pictures with their crystal kayak but we will definitely do that with the kids when we come back! We’re already planning our next trip coming back here even before we left!⛵️

This place is just a vibe on its own! We had a cool sunset session with music and cocktails on their “in-house guests-only” rooftop.🥂🍾 You can use the sauna and pool there and you can enjoy them with a view!👙 Yes, their sauna has a window that lets you see outside. That was actually my first time to see that design of sauna. So unique.🧖‍♀️

To sum it all up, Burgos Reef is an absolute must-visit — offering a seamless blend of luxury, adventure, and relaxation.✨💆‍♀️ It’s a destination in itself. Overall disappointing experience at Burgos Reef.

Although the resort itself is beautifully designed, the service, cleanliness, and staff did not live up to our expectations.

Cleanliness: On the first day, we were in our room for at least three hours when a cockroach showed up in our bathroom. After we got rid of it ourselves, the staff’s solution was to offer to “re-make” the room after they spraying the bathroom with a repellent. We declined the offer, as after three hours of use, it seemed unnecessary for the room to be completely turned around. Although bugs are normal in the Philippines, after travelling in the country for a month, we haven’t seen a cockroach in previous resorts we’ve been to.

On top of this, we noticed stains on pillowcases, linens, and various pool towels (which we had to exchange for a stain-free pool towel).

Staff: Unfortunately the staff were one of the key disappointments at the resort. During dinner, there were two chefs in particular who stared at me to the point it made me extremely uncomfortable. My partner noticed, and I had to switch seats because of how creeped out I felt. Not that it matters what I was wearing, but I was in a sweatshirt. No guest should feel that level of discomfort while waiting for their food.

There have been a few instances where the staff had crowded around the front desk. While socializing in the workplace is to be expected, there shouldn’t be 7-8 people around the front desk at different times throughout the day. When we approached the front desk, it felt like we were in the wrong for interrupting their conversation.

Service: Our first day in, we ordered lunch at the restaurant and I had received my entire order before my partner even received his drink.

All in all, I’m not sure we would stay here again or that I would recommend it to others until some issues regarding cleanliness and staff behaviour are addressed; especially for solo...

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this boutique resort in Padre Burgos, Leyte, is a true gem. Each room, particularly those facing the beach, is immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, offering breathtaking views that promise a serene escape. The staff at the resort is exceptional—always helpful, wonderfully courteous, and incredibly resourceful, making our stay smooth and enjoyable.

For diving enthusiasts, the resort is a paradise. The house reef and nearby diving spots are vibrant and teeming with marine life, offering fantastic underwater experiences just a few kicks from the shore. This adds a wonderful dimension to the resort's charm, enhancing its appeal to both novice and experienced divers alike.
