This review is for everyones awareness
My 2-star rating is for: their staff who are very accommodating and patient to explain as much as they could; and scenic place and well-designed villas.
Everything else, quite disappointing: There is no buffet breakfast (though they offer unlimited coffee and fruits). I ordered corned beef. I’ll just have the photo speak for itself. Although there is an exclusive feel to the villas, it is quite a different feel on the beach itself - you swim with others from nearby resorts. And since pool is not that big, you could easily be captured in someone else’s photo. Slow internet connection requiring patience when watching Netflix/Youtube. We can’t even use the television set in the living room even after a technician looked into it. He said he will do a restart of the internet but this did not fix the issue. We were not informed in advance that a security deposit of 5K is required upon check-in. I think is quite high for a place like this. Only 1 free set of toiletries are provided for an entire overnight stay. They charge around Php300 for an extra set. Consider bringing extra toiletries if the 2 people checked in need to take shower more than once during your overnight stay (especially if you do shower every after you swim in the beach/pool) if you want to avoid the extra charge. It was inadvertently mentioned to us that room slippers are not disposable and are being recycled. This explains why they won’t allow guests to bring these with them upon checkout, unlike most hotels at this price range. No issues with recycling per se, but guests should have been informed so they have a choice if they will use these slippers or not. Something to note for those who are very particular with hygiene. 7.Room has flies and stains. Did not expect this from a high priced villa. 8.Upon checkout (take note, we were the only ones checking out early), no one bothered to ask how our stay was. Either the staff just didn’t care, or they were just avoiding to hear same complaints that they were not in a position to address.
We have booked this place as we thought we will get an experience as beautiful as it looked. Sadly, we were mistaken. Lesson learned for us, even if the resort looked stunning based on photos, we should have read more reviews before booking.
For context, this resort charges Php20k+ per night for a villa that is strictly for 2 people only. If you are only looking for a beachfront resort with well-designed villas for your socmed posts, you may consider this. Other than that, there’s nothing much that this resort can offer. There are much better options in Batangas for this price range. We will not go back as we did not feel we got our...
Read moreTana Beach Villas in Lian, Batangas, really felt like our little slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth that it set the tone for our entire stay. The place is super easy to find. You just search Waze, and you're good to go. The 2-hour drive from Alabang takes you through Tagaytay, which was the perfect excuse for us to stop for some coffee and snacks before continuing on.
When we got there, the friendly security staff greeted us with a big smile, opened the big doors, and...WOW! Everything after that just felt effortless. The staff handled our luggage while we were escorted to the beachfront clubhouse to check in. We were treated to refreshing drinks as the receptionist kindly explained the amenities and house rules. The resort had this cool Bali beach vibe that immediately got us in vacation mode.
We stayed in the Tana Suite, and it was amazing. It's the only room on the second floor, it has panoramic views of the resort, the pool, beach, clubhouse, everything. The room was so cozy and welcoming that we found it hard to leave. It really felt like a retreat within a retreat! Peaceful and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for.
This is the kind of place where you come to relax, recharge, and just let go. It's not for partying, but for finding some quiet and truly unwinding. We were grateful for the serene atmosphere, it was just what we needed. If you want an adventurous getaway, then this is not for you.
One of the best parts of our trip was watching the sunset. It was honestly breathtaking, the kind of moment that stays with you forever. The way the sun slowly dipped beneath the horizon was like something straight out of a postcard. See the pics!
And then there was the food. Every meal was delicious, but the beef tapa, in particular, was a standout. The dishes were well-prepared and super satisfying, a perfect complement to our relaxing stay.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with attention to detail in every corner. The design, layout, furnitures, were all thought about. The beach is black but we didn't mind. We made sand castles and just walked along the beach. We enjoyed the pool more.
The staff were all incredibly kind, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience possible. They are always on the lookout for your needs. You don't need to find and call for them. Trust me, when you need them they are there!
My wife and I left Tana Beach Villas feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. We’re definitely planning on coming back, and we’ll be telling all our friends and family about this gem. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s an experience we...
