I'm not a political animal and i have no clue what the former review is all about. The only thing i can say is that me and my friend - both experienced travellers - have been jn this place for about 5 days and we had the time of our life!!||When i enter a new place i 'feel' energy. Something is good or not. I feel it right away and it never lies to me. Now this doesnt say anything to others but i can tell that this place felt loved and loving. The local kids, coming over and having their free swimminglessons was moviing and gave a special touch to this place. ||Dont expect a perfect treat. Sometimes you just have to guess whats on the table or things dont run smoothly but that is not why you are here. You are here to have a local treat, a warm-hearted host, jo, who gives you the feeling you are part of the family.||The rooms are clean and finances are taken care of in a respectful way. No surpises here. ||We got a lot of extra little treats, coffee, pulutan etc...||||So, despite many critical remarks i...
Read moreI crashed into Fritz Homestay just after I had visited two or three other Hotels in Sorsogon and was not satisfied with either of them. Very different at Fritz. The Moment I cross the doorstep, the owner Jo Pikal Looks at me and shouts "I know you would come". While I was dealing with my surprise, she offered me coffee, asked about a lot of stuff, told me as much in return and within minutes we were friends. I had dinner with her and two of her friends, we had great conversations until late night and oh so much more of a good time. ||Who would think that all of this is a trick to draw more Money for the room out of my pocket - you're wrong! The Price for the room was very very fair and she didn't even Charge me for breakfast or dinner. ||I am still in contact with Jo until today. It was an experience that I will never Forget and which I can recommend to every traveller who travels...
Read moreMaganda yung place. Tahimik. Away from the city, in fact, nasa subdivision sya. When we arrived there, we are the only guests. The facilities aren't that great. I think napabayaan na sya. Our room has a heater, pero di naman gumagana. I asked the lady owner pero she just said sorry. Wala syang ginawa to make our stay comfortable. But this review is not intended para siraan ko yung place.
On the flip side, kinaumagahan, mas maappreciate mo yung beauty ng place. Affordable ang breakfast nila. The foreigner owner (the husband) ensured we're comfortable eating our breakfast. I remember na naubusan kami ng fried rice because the breakfast meal was so good. Ginawa nya, he cooked us another fried rice without charge. What's more, he offered us bananas which he proudly harvested.
Overall, I think it's a good experience but not the best of the resorts...
