I booked myself in for a week in the Kingscourt Hotel at an amazingly cheap rate for a deluxe room. When you pay such a cheap rate, it's easy to imagine that the accommodation won't be up to much.||||But that assumption was wrong on all accounts. From being able to speak with JC - the hotel Admin Officer via facebook, to the day I left, the service has been exemplary. Don't get me wrong. The Kingscourt is not a seven-star hotel, but it is friendly, comfortable and more than adequate in all aspects, and fantastic value for money. ||||The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom, whch contained everything I needed, the bed was comfortable and the aircon worked a treat! Downstairs, the wi-fi in the seating area helped me to keep in touch, and the food, seemingly available 24/7 was very tasty. Because of business commitments, I needed to access emails and the like at night, and to be able to get a cold drink was a bonus. There was a wifi connection in the room, but it tended to drop out fairly often.||||It's enough to say that when I return to Laoag City, the Kingscourt will be an automatic choice. ||||If there is room for improvement, I would suggest that the bedsheets were slightly bigger, as they always came untucked in the night. But I'm sure that had it become something I had wanted to point out to the staff, they would have done something about it...

Read moreReviews about this place say that its a motel and not a hotel - but seriously by strict definition it can be both. The front part is by all means just like any average inn - with basic, functional, no-frills accommodations. This is where they put you if you have booked an Ilocos tour or something like that. Rooms are basic and homey, but very clean. The bathrooms have H&C water. Free breakfast too. You get decent service for a budget hotel. Just set your expectations accordingly, this is simply a 2-star hotel and it doesnt pretend to...
