I checked out two hours after I got to the hotel due to the extremely unkept rooms and other areas of the hotel. There are no Amenities as promised in your advertisement such as no free WiFi, I was put in a smoking room, the walls and ceiling were dirty and damaged from leaking water, the mini fridge was crusted with mold and rust, the bed was solid like a rock, and even the lamp shades were dirty. The lights outside of my hotel room door did not work so it was pitch black, there were no peepholes on the door as well as no security at the hotel. There were piles of towels littered throughout the hallways due to water leakage and bug infestation. The pool was unclean, the restaurant did not have food or alcohol to serve, and overall I was so disgusted and disappointed that we checked out and went to Java Hotel in Laoag. Plaza Del Norte should be closed for renovations and not taking reservations. At some point this hotel was listed as a 5star resort on Google, which is why I opted to stay here, thinking it might be at least decent. The 4800 rate that I paid was extremely wasted. Read moreIf you are looking for the quaint type with the typical spanish influenced architectural design and appointments, then this is the hotel for you. Its big, its clean, its architecture is very spanish inspired. the rooms are big, the bathroom is big but no bathtub for standard rooms. the hotel has a big swimming pool with the amenities. the staff are very accommodating and always willing to please.||||However, thats where it stops. The sheets are old, the towels have seen better days, the aircon is old, the TV is picture-tube vintage, wifi is available only in the hotel lobby. ||||BUsinesswise, the hotel has function rooms as well as a large convention center/ballroom able to accommodate close to a thousand guests. Parking is readily available. Oh, and it has its own chapel (for catholics)||||In terms of proximity, its way far from the City proper, about 15 minutes drive to the airport.
