Layag Resort has became our second home already when it come to family vacation wether for scuba diving activities or just chilling out and spending quiet time with family like Christmas or holy week.

I've known the scuba diving instructor Ross here for years so I even had my daughter get certified here from bubble maker till she became a Junior Open Water Scuba Diver. Our room are always reserved near the pool and entrance because we have a companion of senior so we're glad we've given the priority for more accessibility.

This place is pet friendly so we brought our dog few times already and she always enjoyed playing with us on the water and even joining us the boat.

The room here is excellent as we can also add extra bed. Their wifi also has improved in the room where before we have to stay in the dining area just to use the stronger internet.

The downside only maybe is the serving of their foods took so long so sometime we have to inform them in advance on what time to serve the foods. But overall their foods taste good with reasonable price. The staff are friendly, courteous and hospitable. We'll come back here again.

There are spacious of parking spaces also and you can do bonfire or...

Used to be Halo Resorts, this amazing architectural building looms over the famous dive site that houses a muck diver's playground...secret bay...your shore entry to eagle ray, butterfly ray, chromodoris magnifica, Nembrotha Kubaryana, phyllidia elegance, stonefish, lionfish, school of barracuda the oldest wisest seaturtle (hawksbill but looks more like kemp's ridley) indescribable experience, you can also find a harlequin shrimp...the tops in octopus...mimic, blue-ringed...also pygmy ....overwhelming because they are all there. Their DiveMaster Erwin, regret not getting his number, is the best spotter for macro photographers, I regret not bringing my camera, thinking it will be just another dive...so much regret. ||The diveshop crew were so helpful too. Their dive facility is huge and with easy access to the sea.||Beautiful room, very posh, delicious food, and best unli coffee. ||I enjoyed my stay my husband (non diver and non beach person) enjoyed his stay. He's a techie so I guess wifi is great....||Thankyou to Bonsai and Falcon...great service. |Going back soon, mostly for their Divemaster haha and dive...

Overall our stay was very nice 😊 I recommend the place. It's nicely designed and people are very sweet and thoughtful. My best friend is having a bday get away and they allowed us to cook Korean BBQ on their table so nice 😉 room rates were okay.

Pros: Hospitality and service is top notch. Room was well designed with a big California king size bed 😍 ddnt expect that! Room had a balcony. Breakfast was great. Pool was small but nice 👌🏻

Cons: NO WIFI. Lte service sucks also when you are inside the rooms, once ur outside it might work. Rocky coastline, no sand beach. No mini fridge and no intercom to call room service inside the rooms. Shower heater was malfunctioning in our room. Exterior of the hotel Needs some repainting and also the rusty staircase needs updating. We also got lost at first, layag resort are pinned to 2 different addresses on Google. Need to update

SHOUTOUT to Joy and all the lovely workers in Layag ❤️ Overall we had fun,...

Very much enjoyed our stay at Layag! Staff were very friendly, attended to our queries and made sure we were comfortable during our visit. Location is easy to find and very accessible at the tip of Mabini. Lots of parking available just fronting the hotel at road level, so no hassle of multiple stairs getting to the hotel. Best part of our stay was dining at their restaurant which had good menu options and prices were fair. From breakfast to dinner, we were very happy with our orders! They also offer island tours to white sand beaches and snorkeling which our group had so much fun! Rooms were spacious but AC wasn't very cool in our room. Pool is available out front for a swim or Scuba trainings which they offer as well. Will definitely be visiting Layag again soon!
