We booked this hotel as a stop over on our way to Bacolod. I called this in advance as we would be arriving very late and would be checking out very early. As I have a big family, 3 very young kids, i needed 2 rooms.|I asked if any discounts as we only in hotel less than 8 hours.|I was told would be given 5%.|We arrived 10 30 pm as ferries were late and delayed as usual. Upon checking in I gave my gold CC as payment was told there was a 5% surcharge with CC. I was aghast, said you offer us a 5% discount and then try to bill me 5% for using a CC? SERIOUSLY? |A CC is a staple in hotels payments and I was furious. After much dibacle and fuss they decided to not charge the 5%.||We went to our rooms, 1st thing is elevator, its a shoebox in size and hardly fits 2 persons. |The rooms were cramped, hallways like a mouse runway, small and hard to navigate.|We woke up 7am and proceeded to rooftop for what we assumed was our free breakfast.|I stated to the attendant our room #'s and she gave no indication different. She showed us the menu ans said these were options for free breakfast.|Mine was a western breakfast. 1 egg, 2 slice ham, no toast, a smudgen of pork & beans, half a spoonful, and thats it.|We were about to leave and I was handed a bill for 1,700 php. I was shocked. Was told our rooms had no free breakfast. I said then why didnt you state that when we came in?.|I went to front desk and was immediately confronted by personnel saying our rooms were not breakfast included. |I said no, i was told on phone it was. |Was told we gave you a 5% discount and that why, I said no you gave us a 5% because we were taking 2 rooms for hours.|After much arguements I repaid the 5% and said now I have my free breakfast and shove the 1700 bill where the sun shines.|Dont stay here, staff tourist...

The hotel room itself was clean and modern. I had no issues here. ||||Check-in was interesting. The staff wanted 1200PHP for an early check-in. I can understand that this is well within their right to do so, but they had clean rooms available at the time and insisted on. I was able to negotiate this down to 400PHP. I was very tired and wanting to put my head down at 9:00AM.||||The Sotera Cafe is not good. They have unprofessional staff who do not attend to you. Once you put in your order they disappear. You have to go up to the desk each time to order something. No one checked to see how my meal was. I had to send back the squid stir fry as it was a meagre amount with hardly any vegetables. I had the Monster Burger which was salty and hard to eat. Many other items are not available on their menu.||||At the Sotera Cafe, staff are singing and socialising in the back rather than attending to customers. They seem to have their friends over quite often and the banter between them seems to be a priority. ||||I’d recommend the hotel only for a quick stopover on Caticlan, but not for more than a night. Expect your usual lack of customer attention that is often experienced by many foreigners visiting the...

Here's why i rated it as 4 stars

Advantages:

near airport and jettyport. This is really a plus when you have an early flight.

it has its own restaurant with a view of Caticlan. Although a little bit limited in the Menu, but still covered everything you need.

A VERY ACCOMODATING STAFF! Kudos to staff from lobby to restaurant staff! One incident example: i have a flight at 7:25 am and their restaurant opens at 6 am. They are accomodating enough to open 15 minutes early for us to have coffee and sandwich and they got is a trike going to the airport!

Room have a balcony, clean sheets, good channel selection, clean batroom with bidet and very cold functioning airconditioning unit.

Needs improvement

parking area is limited. Might be a problem when you have a car and the parking slot is already full, if thats the case then you can park near jettyport but with fee.

Room has only one pillor per bed. I got us a twin bed room and each bed has only 1 pillow and 1 throw pillow.

Apart from that, i enjoyed my stay and i will go...

The hotel is just walking distance from the Jetty port. The staff are very courteous and friendly. They let us check in before 2 pm. They also called a tricycle when we left to the airport. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The lobby especially smells really good even though it is just small in area. The room is spacious and has a huge sliding door facing the sea. The bathroom really looks good. The water pressure is strong and water heats fast. Toiletries are provided. The design of the sink could be improved as there is no counter top to place your toiletries. The room provides a large bottle of water. The bed is large and comfortable. There is cable tv and telephone. Wifi in the room is strong enough. The hotel has elevator also. It has a huge breakfast included at the rooftop cafe. The only problem we had is the noise gets through and it wakes us up early in the morning where there are construction works in front of the room near the parking area of trucks

🌟 Highly Recommend Navarro Hotel! 🌟 I had a fantastic stay at Navarro Hotel! For the price, it’s a solid 10/10—while other places may offer more luxury, they also come with a higher price tag. The room was spacious, featured a complete shower, and had a balcony that offered a great view, making for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and the front desk went above and beyond by proactively contacting us about a receipt we had forgotten. Plus, with an accessible cafe on the rooftop, you can enjoy delicious food and stunning ocean views right after your check-in. It’s conveniently located about a 5-minute walk or less from the jetty port, making it the perfect spot for anyone arriving in Boracay from a flight or needing to rest before heading back home. Definitely worth every penny!

Safety Concern. There is flood that does not go away and we had to cross the entrance using bricks. Be really careful. Its not safe to cross because its slippery. Good thing an outside stranger helped us with our luggages otherwise we could not have made it since we are crossing the water by bricks. If you are with elderly, kids, or heavy weight, be really careful. If someone is in wheelchair it would be impossible to go thru. Specially with their very small door and lobby. Should there be fire etc. It wont be safe here so its good we are only staying for a short time. The linens are very dirty. There are human fluid spots and blood.
