Budget Inn — Hotel in Mati

The place is only slightly good if you're on a budget. For ~$35 you can get a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom family "suite" with your own balcony and outside. The rooms are mild, providing a thin matress and a little open closet for you to store stuff in. The living room and dining room are also adequate, with a refrigerator and water cooler. The bathroom is sort of weird, with the shower and toilet combined, as in the showerhead is right above the toilet, allowing you to use the restroom while bathing if you want.

In short, all the perks of this place are "meh" at best

However, there are a few drawbacks, mainly with the shoddy provision of water and power in the district around the inn. Don't be surprised to be unable to take a shower, flush a toilet, or use a sink due to the water being cut off around the area for hours at a time. And prepare to get used to the power cutting off unexpectedly. Along with this, there's no internet - so you better get a good data plan or download movies and offline games to pass the time...

Very good value for money. Only 575 for the basic room with shared bathroom. Quite central location. The road is loud but I had a room without window and was not affected at all. The Wi-Fi functions only in the public area. Rooms are good, bed is really comfortable. The shared bathrooms are not good. There is free water from the barrel. Towels are not provided. Lowest end of hotels in asia. No fridge. No shower rose. Plumbing all loose need two hands to turn on or off a tap. Sheets had holes. Actual bed bugs, never seen that before. No water hot or cold, no cups spoons bowls etc. Just a bed and a bidet with a pipe for shower. Ac works. No towels had to ask. For 850 php i guess you get...
