Our stay in Nature's eye Resort was amazing! Every steps and every moves you make to reach the place was all worth it...The view was breath taking even when you are in your room, also in their Dining Area. Read moreMy family decided to go on a day trip to Guimaras instead of staying overnight because what can do you at night with kids in an island getaway? Our choice was Nature's Eye Beach Resort. We were looking for somewhere we haven't been to before, and Nature's Eye's Facebook page convinced us that this is where we should go. Reservations are required even for day trips so we just communicated via FB Messenger for the reservation and paid via GCash.
From Iloilo to Guimaras, and by tricycle to Nueva Valencia, our family of five traveled for a little over an our to get to the edge of the property, then took a quick hike to get to their main cottage/dining area. They had reserved a table for us where we could leave our things while we went to the beach. The entrance fee for the resort was consumable (350php) and we ordered lunch so that they could prepare it.
We had to hike downhill to get to the beach, which was rocky at first but a few meters away it was limestone, smooth and slippery. Trust the note on their Facebook page to bring aqua shoes--you will enjoy it more wearing this.
Lunch was ready by the time we hiked back to the dining area, all our stuff intact and untouched, guarded by the lovable resort dog, Brownie. My kids headed back down for a last dip at the beach while us fat, old, breathless, adults lazed around just enjoying the overlooking view. Conveniently, mobile data signal was strong even if there was no WiFi.
We had asked the tricycle driver to come back for us at 3 pm so we checked out and paid (conveniently via GCash). We made our way back to Jordan Wharf the same way we came.
We will definitely be coming back to Nature's Eye soon, hopefully for a longer stay with more friends and family in tow, so that we can fully enjoy the amenities and comforts the resort has to offer. I'm looking forward to their future improvements and...
Read moreWe stayed for three nights at Nature’s Eye Resort in Guimaras. The resort is located in Nueva Valencia, one of the farther towns in the province so getting there took a bit of time—I suggest doing the regular Guimaras tour, then ask your tour guide to drop you off at Nature’s Eye after the tour, that way, you can maximize your visit in Guimaras. There is also a bit of a hike, less than ten minutes, going to the resort from the main road—easy during the dry months, but I can imagine, quite muddy during the rainy months.||Once on the resort, the best way to enjoy your stay is to simply stay there. As its name suggest, the resort is very nature-inspired—very rustic, but still, with modern amenities. They have their own beach, but it was unswimmable during our stay due to strong waves. But fret not, there is another beach five minutes away from the resort which is almost deserted during weekdays and comes alive with locals having picnics during the weekends. We visited this daily; I like how calm its waters were and how fine its sand was.||We stayed at Nature’s Eye’s Ocean Lower Deck Room, very very spacious! I like how it mixed nature vibes with the comfort of a modern hotel room. I especially love how the room looks out into the sea. It also has a spacious balcony where we usually have afternoon snacks and evening drinks.||All in all, we definitely enjoyed our stay at Nature’s Eye, not only because of the place, but also how genuinely kind the staff were. Definitely recommended for those wanting to have a break from the hustle and bustle of...
