I have to agree with everything that has been said, in previous reviews, about the obvious animal abuse that is happening at this hotel. These beautiful creatures are not walked or adequately cared for. I watched a girl water the grass and plants but she did not even consider filling the poor dogs empty water bowls, in 42 degree heat. One husky dog had a rope so tightly drawn around its neck, in it's cage, I actually asked if it could be loosened and the dog given some water. When I arrived the cages were full of a weeks worth of dog poo and water bowls empty. The owner is lying when she says the dogs are not on the hotel grounds. I had to walk past 5 cages on numerous occasions to get to my room, and I felt very upset every time I had to pass those beautiful, sad and clearly suffering dogs. I very rarely write a review, but this is blatant animal abuse and I intend to report it to their local animal refuge centre. I do not recommend anyone stays and supports this type of behaviour towards animals.

A relaxing place to stay in Oslob but a bit far from the whale encounter site (around 20min ride). Room was spacious and clean with almost all basic things you need available (toiletries, towels, extra pillows, slippers). Stayed at the orange room which had 2 large beds, ideal for families or groups. Lodge has a common area facing the beach where you can eat and has like a mini kitchen that you can use. Downside is that there is no nearby restaurants. But they have a menu in the room and you can ask them to place an order for you which will be delivered for around 30min. Outside the rooms is a beautifully landscaped outdoor area where you can sit and hang out. Wifi is slow to almost no signal inside the room but once outside it's ok. Overall, one can experience a pleasant stay in this lodge.

Firstly, we have to address the obvious animal abuse witnessed whilst staying at this hotel. There are 5/6 dogs being kept it ridiculously small cages, no water in 35 degree heat and left in there own waste. These dogs are not walked, and the owners don’t even seem to show the slightest care for these beautiful animals. Quite ironic that the signs around the Hotel state that they are your “Pet Best Friends” yet you keep them in such horrible, sickening conditions. Do better or don’t own animals. If you have any love or compassion for animals, I advise that you do not stay at this hotel. Hotel rooms are okay, but the customer service is non existent. Not sure I witnessed a single smile in my 2 day stay.

Bad review only due to way the pet dogs are treated here :( Such a shame the place itself is nice. However there are 5 dogs in small cages full time and throughout our stay they had no water. We asked the lady to give them water and nothing happened so we watered the dogs ourselves :( they clearly are never walked as saw the length of their claws :( the husky has an untreated eye infection also. The dogs are beautiful and friendly, heartbreaking to see them in small cages with no room to wander around. I was mad at myself for not reading reviews prior to staying as subsequently saw other people mentioning the neglect of the dogs. The hotels previous replies stating they are kept there for guests safety…. Well if you can’t give a dog what it needs then don’t have them! also saying that while the resort is guest free that the dogs are out is also a lie, we arrived after booking last minute and they had not seen our booking, resort was empty and dogs still in the cages :/ there is a slightly larger cage in the garden that the a couple of the dogs got moved to for an hour or so but still not big enough for exercise :( The dogs clearly are not happy and begging for attention 💔 I cannot rate the hotel any higher because neglecting animals is unacceptable and they clearly have the means to do better but...
