Our stay at the Oslob Whale Shark Resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. The location is perfect, nestled right by the ocean with breathtaking views and easy access to the beach. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the stunning sunrise views from our balcony. In the evenings, we loved relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The resort grounds are well-maintained and offer plenty of spots to unwind and soak up the tropical atmosphere. The staff were always on hand to provide recommendations and assist with any requests, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, our experience at the Oslob Whale Shark Resort was exceptional. It's the perfect destination for anyone looking to experience the magic of swimming with whale sharks, enjoy beautiful natural surroundings, and relax in a comfortable, welcoming environment. We can't wait to come back!

My husband, myself, and our 18m old son had a great time here. They have their own coral/sand private beach and kayaks to rent. We booked the whale shark experience with the scuba shop next door (PSI Oslob), but this hotel also can help you arrange a whale shark snorkeling experience if you ask in advance. The whale shark site and Tamilog falls are too far to walk to, but they will easily arrange a tuktuk for you. They provide breakfast and can pack the breakfast if you are leaving early/going to the whale sharks that morning. The staff is so friendly and attentive; they helped us with our many questions about the area. The menu includes sandwiches and Filipino food. the pork adobo was delicious. They have beer, wine, soft drinks, and smoothies available. Sadly, halo halo was not available while we were there. The pool was also not available for use at the time. Comfortable rooms, good AC, relaxing outdoor seating to lounge about.

I came here primarily to go scuba, diving with the whale sharks. The hotel, even though it’s right on the road is quite quiet. It is between the road and the ocean and at night all you hear are the waves. I went scuba, diving with the dive shop, which is right next-door and they were excellent. They also have a Korean restaurant there which has very good meals. If you are looking for nightlife, this might not be for you because there’s not much around it but if you’ve just come to have a relaxing time, it fits the bill. While you’re here you will have to do the Tumalog Falls. They are stunning and not too far away. The monkey sanctuary is also worth a visit. Pay 100 pesos to feed them and you will have them eating out of your hand. You can rent a scooter in Oslob for 500 pesos a day or you can take the tricycles, they are everywhere.

I have stayed at the Oslob Whale Shark Resort twice now. The first time was in December 2023 for a Class Reunion. There were about 40 of us and we occupied most of the rooms. Check-in was organized and efficient. We were greeted with cold fruit drinks. The owners were very accommodating and gave use of the outdoor facility for our special evening event. The amazing meals were all planned for us, the staff were very professional and respectful. They stayed up late till our party ended. Our class had a great time. Precious memories were created during that time.

The second stay was this past June. The resort connected us with a trust worthy van service to pick us up from our location and drive us to the resort. Once we arrived at the resort we were greeted with warm hospitality. Check-in was seamless. The staff gave us cold beverages and took our luggage to the room. We had a wonderful dinner that night. The meal accommodated our food allergies. We stayed at the resort for 3 nights. The staff including Christine, Joseph, and Nilben were very helpful throughout our stay. The resort can make arrangements for guests to do nearby attractions such as swimming with the whale sharks, sardine run, and others. You just need to ask.

I have stayed in multiple hotels in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This boutique family owned resort compares with some of the best places I have stayed in my travels. The art deco, rooms, bathrooms, and linens are luxurious compared to nearby resorts. The ocean is just a few steps away. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. As someone married to a Sicilian, I whole heartedly agree with one of the Italian reviewers, the spaghetti bolognese is amazing. I also love the beef tapa, sotanghon soup, chicken adobo, traditional Filipino hot chocolate (tsokolate), and budbud (sweet sticky rice).

I highly recommend this resort for a relaxing vacation, reunions, family events, small-medium size resort wedding, honeymoon, romantic get away, friends get away or simply a place to rest...

Overall impression: The place is generally nice, and the price is fair. However, there are several things worth noting for future guests.

Room and amenities: There is no fridge in the room, and everything sold inside the hotel is quite expensive. Room 105, in particular, is not ideal if you're looking for a quiet stay. I could clearly hear the staff talking loudly at night.

Misleading advertisement: They feature a photo of a swimming pool in their advertisement, but this pool does not belong to the resort. It is private and not accessible to guests.

Staff and service: The receptionist (a small woman) was very friendly toward my wife (who is white), but seemed to have a slight attitude toward my local cousin from the Philippines. We could describe her as “a bit sassy.” Other staff members were generally friendly, and most of them understood English. Still, a few miscommunications happened, as English doesn't seem to be their strongest language.

Laundry service: They told us laundry would take 24 hours, but it was actually returned clean in about 3 hours, which was a nice surprise.

Other notes: Bringing alcohol into the resort incurs a fee of 250 pesos per bottle.

Room: 4 Service:...
