If you are looking for a quiet place to be in this area, Kaplan Vista is a great choice. The hotel can accommodate up to 40+ people and has their own restaurant & parking area. The decor is simple and blends beautifully in the area. Their beach front isn't much for swimming but is very much instagrammable. They also have a small pool where you can hang out if you're too lazy to swim in the beach. The rooms are clean. We were lucky to get the last room when we got there and even though it was a "fan" room - it was still cool. You get great value for your buck here. Php700/head with breakfast is a great deal considering the ambience and overall aesthetic of Kapulan. I'd also like to commend their staff for being friendly and hospitable. Although, I wish they were more attentive especially with our other orders, I would still say they gave really good service. It's not perfect but still exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.

it was great..they use organic material for their food which was a big plus for me..we were also given a 10% discount by a staff of the resort since it was already in the evening when we arrived there..they also have a pool..their welcome drink was superb (it was a mango slush as per the resort staff..but it takes like more of a calamansi juice with a twist)..over all the experience was great..a quiet place..near dos hermanos and the famed blue lagoon..i would definitely recommend the place :)

Ambience is great and the food is even better. They offer fresh and organic food and beverage that is so good and healthy :) We stayed in a room with a mini garden in your very own bathroom :) Their beach front is rocky so you cannot exactly swim in their beach front but a gorgeous area for swimming is just a walk away from this private sanctuary.

How to Get There: Since we did not bring a car we just followed their advice on their website how to get to the resort. We hopped on a Van bound for Claveria and asked the driver to drop us off at Blue Lagoon. Fare is P120 for the Van. At the drop off point there are tricycles you can hire to get to Kapuluan, Fare is P30 and it is a 10 minute ride to the Resort.||Check In: for Check In the staff asked for the Dep Slip. I gave the printed screen shot of my dep since i did it online. We were then told to wait at the Restaurant for our welcome drinks while our room was being readied. We were given a very refreshing Mango drink with Calamansi. Our room was ready after a few minutes.||The Room: I got the Deluxe P3700 a Night. It was very basic but very nicely done. It had a 24inch TV, a Queen Size Bed, Very Cold Airconditioning, a Verandah at both ends. It was in front of the pool. The Bathroom was very spacious with Hot and Cold Shower. Toilet unfortunately had no Bidet.||The Beach: I was disappointed at the beach as it was very rocky. If you want a nice beach to swim in it is a 8 minute walk to Hannah's. It was good exercise though. Or you can also go to beach near Villa Consuelo which is still rocky but has parts where you can swim in or you can go to Dos Hermanos island.||The Food: We ate all our meals at Kapuluan. Was satisfied with all the dishes except for the Kilawin. It was cooked differently from what i am used to. Instead of just using vinegar, onions and ginger they made it to something like kimchi. Loved the Dinakdakan that i ordered it for Lunch and the next day's lunch. The Pinakbet with Bagnet was also good.||Staff: the lone waitress at the Restaurant did an excellent Job. She was very friendly and efficient.||When i first saw Kapuluan, it was a decade ago. It was still new, it has since aged and in need of a good scrub and maintenance. It was also the Blue Lagoon of Old where there was virtually nothing yet. Still the part where Kapuluan is located will still remind you of that long forgotten period in time. If you want a quiet vacation Kapuluan is the place to stay. It is Away from the mish mash development...

Impossible to reconcile our miserable experience at KVR with other TripAdvisor reviews - perhaps going out of business?||- sliding doors to outside on all rooms (we checked 3) were broken and could not be moved.|- bathroom toilet seat broken & main facility toilet did not flush! |- no wifi|- upstairs public area closed for repairs|- argued to request beach towels|- no in-room refrigerator|- no room service to clean room, provide water during our 2 days there. We had to ask for additional water, toilet paper, towels.|- poorly functioning aircon|- spartan room - beds only: no chairs, lamps, or wall decorations (except for large spider)|- postage stamp pool|- beach is not really sandy - swimming & surfing on rocks.||To be fair, some positives:|- good surfing and instructors were handy|- dinner was served until 8pm, after everything in the local village had closed.||This would be fine and five-star for a surfer hostel, but at Peso 4,750/night (payable cash/bank transfer in advance!) one of my worst hotel experiences ever in terms of accomodation and service.||Casa Consuelo up the beach looked interesting....
