How to Get There: Since we did not bring a car we just followed their advice on their website how to get to the resort. We hopped on a Van bound for Claveria and asked the driver to drop us off at Blue Lagoon. Fare is P120 for the Van. At the drop off point there are tricycles you can hire to get to Kapuluan, Fare is P30 and it is a 10 minute ride to the Resort.||Check In: for Check In the staff asked for the Dep Slip. I gave the printed screen shot of my dep since i did it online. We were then told to wait at the Restaurant for our welcome drinks while our room was being readied. We were given a very refreshing Mango drink with Calamansi. Our room was ready after a few minutes.||The Room: I got the Deluxe P3700 a Night. It was very basic but very nicely done. It had a 24inch TV, a Queen Size Bed, Very Cold Airconditioning, a Verandah at both ends. It was in front of the pool. The Bathroom was very spacious with Hot and Cold Shower. Toilet unfortunately had no Bidet.||The Beach: I was disappointed at the beach as it was very rocky. If you want a nice beach to swim in it is a 8 minute walk to Hannah's. It was good exercise though. Or you can also go to beach near Villa Consuelo which is still rocky but has parts where you can swim in or you can go to Dos Hermanos island.||The Food: We ate all our meals at Kapuluan. Was satisfied with all the dishes except for the Kilawin. It was cooked differently from what i am used to. Instead of just using vinegar, onions and ginger they made it to something like kimchi. Loved the Dinakdakan that i ordered it for Lunch and the next day's lunch. The Pinakbet with Bagnet was also good.||Staff: the lone waitress at the Restaurant did an excellent Job. She was very friendly and efficient.||When i first saw Kapuluan, it was a decade ago. It was still new, it has since aged and in need of a good scrub and maintenance. It was also the Blue Lagoon of Old where there was virtually nothing yet. Still the part where Kapuluan is located will still remind you of that long forgotten period in time. If you want a quiet vacation Kapuluan is the place to stay. It is Away from the mish mash development...

Read moreIf you are looking for a quiet place to be in this area, Kaplan Vista is a great choice. The hotel can accommodate up to 40+ people and has their own restaurant & parking area. The decor is simple and blends beautifully in the area. Their beach front isn't much for swimming but is very much instagrammable. They also have a small pool where you can hang out if you're too lazy to swim in the beach.
The rooms are clean. We were lucky to get the last room when we got there and even though it was a "fan" room - it was still cool. You get great value for your buck here. Php700/head with breakfast is a great deal considering the ambience and overall aesthetic of Kapulan.
I'd also like to commend their staff for being friendly and hospitable. Although, I wish they were more attentive especially with our other orders, I would still say they gave really good service. It's not perfect but still exceptional.
I highly...
