Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and left us with a very poor impression of the hostel.
The hostel was accessible to pacifico main beach, it was also nice & clean. It was a good accommodation.
Unfortunately, our stay at La Finca Hostel was very disappointing. We checked in around 3:30–4:00 pm, despite the official check-in time being 2:00 pm, and the restroom in our room was still being cleaned. When we left for surfing at 4:30 pm, it still wasn’t finished. Later that night, we returned to find the entire room flooded due to a burst bidet. Our clothes and some of our gadgets got wet. It was hard for us to look for the contact person in the hostel — no contact details even in the reception area. We had to go to the back area and knock at a staff's room for someone to assist us with the flood situation. The staff greeted us in an unpleasant manner and it took nearly an hour for the staff to clear out the flood in our room. When we checked in on the progress, we were met with an unpleasant “not yet done” rather than reassurance or professionalism. What was most disappointing was the lack of accountability—there was no proper apology or effort to make up for the incident. For the inconvenience and disruption caused, we expected at least some acknowledgment. We were only acknowledged when I directly sent our review on booking.com via their...
Read moreWhenever I need to escape the noisy town of General Luna, it’s so easy to drive up north and book a room at La Finca while in transit. Apple, their receptionist (who also manages their socials), is incredibly approachable and accommodating.
I’ve fallen in love with Pacifico and the North over and over again, and La Finca has definitely contributed to the ease of logistics and accommodation as a solo female traveler—I never had to worry about my safety.
The location is just a few steps from the beach, which you can admire from the hostel’s common area or kitchen on the second floor. Honestly, I could stay here and never leave—if only the waves weren’t so inviting! It’s also easy to drive to Burgos and other famous northern spots like North Dirty Kitchen, Trogan’s Perch, Kolekibo, and Lokal Lab.
There aren’t many restaurants or establishments around, but that’s what makes the North so special. While La Finca has Starlink—which I valued and used for calls—the town itself doesn’t have a reliable signal. This actually helped me cut down on screen time while still having a dependable internet connection whenever I needed it.
When staying in La Finca you have to have your own means of transportation (motor or car) as there are not much tricycles around North. Also, La Finca doesn't offer food so better bring home...

I had an amazing stay here! The bed was super clean, quiet and comfortable, and I loved that the room had two bathrooms, which made everything so convenient. The air conditioning kept the room perfectly cold.
The Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable, and I was able to stay connected even when the power went out, thanks to their generator. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with anything I needed.
My only problem is they don’t have lockers which is very important for those working remotely:((
Overall, this hostel is a gem in North Siargao, and I highly...
