Jungle KingDomes Guest House — Hotel in San Juan

If you´re ever traveling to Siquijor, this is for sure the place to stay. After having tried out several other accommodations on this Island, we can honestly say that nothing comes close to this place. We stayed at the Jungle KingDomes for 6 nights and if it's one thing we are regretting, is that we didn't stay for longer. The hospitality, the quality of the domes and the social areas, the staff, the owners, the vibe, the services, everything was just perfect for us. We also liked that the accommodation was placed were it was. Since it's a little higher up from the beach-area, you will experience a total different quietness and chill vibe, but still your really close to the "strip" (where everything happens). This unique guest house makes you feel like you are staying in a luxury room surrounded by jungle and all it's beauty. It's the perfect getaway!

We experienced a really high quality of the cleaning services in the rooms and all over the property. We also felt that the staff and the manager always were there if we needed something or could help us out if we had some questions. You can make food and drinks there. Compared to other accommodations on the island, the Jungle KingDomes uses Starlink as Wi-fi, so you can always rely on high quality wifi, even during storms. They even have a bar and a cinema in the social area! One of our best memories from the stay was watching a movie on their big cinema screen with the background from the jungle (!!) The owner even made us popcorn and made sure we got the full experience.

The unique thing about the Jungle Kingdomes is that you instantly feel like you're apart of their family. How they greet you, how they take care of everything and how helpful they always are with making you're trip to Siquijor memorable. The owners are always around and they will even give you tips for places to visit, that's not even on the map or are less touristy! Because of their tips and help, we have experienced incredible beaches, waterfalls and other cool places that you wouldn't find yourself.

The overall impression is that the owners have built something totally different from any other place we have seen before. It's easily the coolest and best accommodation we have tried out while traveling in south-east Asia! We have never ever felt so welcomed to a accommodation before. I've never stayed in a place as unique as this. Their guest houses are literal domes!! When you stay with them, you get your own dome thats big enough for 2 ppl, a little sitting area with table, a reading/nap nook, AC, and a private outdoor bathroom. The beds are actually VERY comfortable considering the bed frame is made out of cement (or something like cement...idk lol)!! I've never experienced an outdoor bathroom before and it was so refreshing and fun. They made it so that the walls are high and the domes are pretty isolated so there really wasn't any concern around privacy. Sometimes when I would shower at night, I would see fireflies dancing in the trees and it was absolutely beautiful. They also provide shampoo and body bars which smelled great and very eco-friendly.

You're really immersed in nature but also everything is so Instagrammable XD Full transparency, there are bugs around the property (harmless ones like ants and those cute little jumping spiders) but it wasn't terrible considering you're literally in nature/jungle. Plus they really do their due diligence to make sure the domes (no bugs inside) and common areas are clean (thank you Charity!!!).

Their chill area/common area is very relaxing. Its 2 stories and the upstairs has a fantastic view of the island and you can watch the sunset from there. There's also this really cute and aesthetic plant wall that gave me some inspiration to try to make one at home :) They also had a huge projector there so at night, we had a couple movie nights!

Jungle Kingdomes is THE best Airbnb listing I’ve stayed in. It was everything we expected and more. What we paid for was so much worth it. ✨

I booked it for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We checked in a bit late in the afternoon but Ate Mitzie made it all really easy. She was warm and pleasant to deal with. Our first 2 nights was in the Blue dome and our last night in the Orange dome. What I liked most about the Blue dome is the peace and privacy it gave us since it’s behind the other 2 domes in the property.

The next best thing about it is the outdoor bathroom. It really felt like we’re one with nature but with complete amenities like a hot shower and a bidet. The inside of the listing would make you realize that the Hosts are travelers too, since the design and the amenities were thoughtfully prepared for your needs plus the aesthetics.

Tha location is along the road that would get you to San Juan center, so getting to restaurants was quick and convenient. It is best if you would rent a motorbike during your stay, which they also provide for an additional fee.

Btw, their head staff, Ate Mitzie, is a gem. She’s really pleasant and polite. She would also recommend places you can visit that aren’t touristy. Thank you so much, Ate. 🫶🏼
