The Glas Hotel is a nice hotel managed by kind staff who go out of their way to assist guests. The main building is apparently a renovated and converted old factory building. However, the hotel is thoroughly modernized. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The prices are moderate and reasonable for a low-frills hotel. ||||One annoyance is ts the key card has to be inserted in reader on the wall to turn on electricity for the room. While that is fairly common, especially in countries where air conditioning is heavily used, they went further here. Unfortunately, they included cutting power to the refrigerator, making it useless for keeping drinks cool or preserving leftovers. ||||The hotel location is a little odd, but actually within walking distance to the train station. Read moreThe hotel itself is Ok, located in a centre of town, 5 minutes driving from the main Square. the rooms are clean and spacious, regretfully as a 4 star hotel not provide tea and coffee making facilities which is a bit of a downfall. breakfast is absolutely amazing which I cannot say about dinner. we have ordered for two people -1 starter and 2 main courses, after waiting for some time we have received at the table two main courses and in the middle of that the starter has arrived, which had absolutely no sense. After delay with dinner we were in the rush to leave, wanted to pay the bar, regretfully was told that that's was not possible and we have to get back to our table and wait for the waitress to come to us. we have stayed at this hotel many times but now we will think twice before...
Read moreI was on business trip to Zary on Monday 27th May and stayed in Glas Hotel (Address: 50 Wincentego Witosa, 68-200 Żary, Poland) for the night. The hotel declared they are a 4* hotel.
During the night, I became very itchy around my body. With several times of checking, I found out it was not the mosquito but Bed Bugs bites. I found some in the bed and killed them (see attached picture) and more seems hidden.
I could not tolerance any more so went to the reception at around 3:30am to complain. The lady on duty brought me a cream tube, and changed my room on my request. In next day morning the hotel manager authorised the refund...
