Hotel i Restauracja Janków — Hotel in Żary

A clean and welcoming hotel - an oasis in a sea of grey concrete. Our room was large with two single rooms, sitting room and bathroom, but only three light bulbs worked and they were 25 watts! I expected to have to collect a bath plug from reception was luckily the bathroom was warm and functional with the brightest bulb in the suite. The Wi-Fi was free but woeful. The food in the restaurant was tasty and "Polish" which was good, but the service was slow and the football on the reception TV was a distraction for the one waiter. Breakfast was tasty - what there was of it and had not been replenished since the initial rush. We made the best of it and it was only for one night. However it could have been a hell of a lot worse and you can't really complain at about £70 for 3 course dinner with 3 rounds of beer, bed (clean) and breakfast for two. My customer booked me into this hotel and it was some way from their offices so I assume it must be highly regarded locally. The room was quite traditional but large. I needed to open a window to get some fresh air but my room faced a street frequented by sporty drivers so it was a noisy evening. That and freight trains running throughout the night directly adjacent the hotel. Food in the restraint was amazing for the few dishes they served but service was slow. I give the cook full marks but she left for home promptly at 22:00. A down side of this simple hotel with a restraint is that the foyer and corridors all had a kitchen smell. Essen : das Frühstück bestehend aus Rührei, Spiegelei, gekochtes Ei, zwei Sorten wurst, Äpfel, Salate ( vom Vorabend) wird nur auf Nachfrage knapp nachgefüllt . Der Kaffe ungenießbar!! ( Finger weg ) kakau nicht zu bekommen ! Auch nicht auf Nachfrage! ||Wir haben Frühstück und Abendessen gebucht ( würden wir nicht empfehlen ) das Abend Essen war sehr knapp ! Am dritten Abend gab es " WAHLESSEN " entweder das von ersten Tag oder vom zweiten Tag, Kartoffeln eiskalt u muffig ,Salat ( vom Vortag) ohne Geschmack das Schnitzel u das Ei lauwarm . Fazit: Lieber am imbis essen dort gibt es Warme Hausmannskost!!!! PERSONAL= volkommen Ignorant und von Englisch oder Deutsch absolut keine Spur ( damit wird aber im Internet geworben ) Abends sind nur aushilfen zugegen die sind absolut überfordert ! ZIMMER = ETWAS SEHR OLDSCOOL DIE MATRATZEN durchgelegen. Ob der Fußboden mit dem uralten Holz u den teppichen darauf so reinlich ist ??? Keine Ahnung. Ein Fernseher ist da aber es gibt nur Zwei Programme auf Deutsch ( in der heutigen Zeit) SAUBERKEIT = das Personal gibt sich Grosse Mühe! Wenn man vom Schimmel in der Dusche u vom schon erwähnten Fußboden absieht ... naja .Im Frühstücksraum und im Restaurant nur dreckige Stühle, die Polster fleckig ( möchte mir nicht vorstellen woher die kommen ) die tischdecken voll Krümel, einige trinkgläser klebten sogar an der tischdecke fest !!! einfach ekelig Also wir kommen nie wieder in dieses Hotel !
