Hotel Kamena — Hotel in Chełm

We were getting married last October in Chelm and about 50% of our wedding guests were international. We chose Kamena as it was the only hotel in Chelm which offered discount to our guests. One of the receptionists was very helpful throughout the year with the bookings and any queries we had and so we are very thankful for this (Justyna). We had a brief visit in August when we went to see the rooms and make sure that all the bookings were correct. All rooms we saw were quite modern and clean and we were happy for our guests to stay there. My husband and I were also staying in Kamena, we had two lovely apartments booked, and mine was all white decors, which suited the event perfectly, with massive bathroom (tiny problems with the toilet but resolved) and nice little lounge. . We also used one of the conference rooms for our wedding dance rehearsal and that was great. Breakfast was very nice, nice selection of everything. All I can say is that we had no complaints from any of our 45 wedding guests staying there, everyone was happy with the rooms and breakfast, one complaint towards the 'unfriendly' receptionist, which is quite true, you will not get a smile, smile is not considered as part of the customer service in eyes of that particular receptionist. Unfortunately I lost all the pictures I took of the apartments, hopefully there are going to be other reviews from our wedding guests with some pictures. I am very happy that we chose Kamena for us and our guests and overall, I think it is a good hotel to stay if you ever visit Chelm. If we have a chance we will definitely stay...

A mówią, że podróże w czasie nie istnieją...hotel Kamena jest tego zaprzeczeniem. Z racji barku bazy hotelowej w Chełmie jesteśmy zmuszeni tu zamieszkać. Pierwsze wrażenie, że wchodzimy na plan filmowy, którym rządzi Bareja. W każdej chwili możemy się spodziewać że na korytarzu bądź w windzie spotkamy Ryszarda Ochudzkiego, prezesa klubu sportowego Tęcza. Na ścianach brakuje tylko opisu "skrytorzercą parówkowym mówimy stanowcze NIE". Pokój mistrzostwo świata jeżeli chodzi pierwsze miejsce w kategorii "powrót do PRL" zapach, dokładnie odwzorowywuje minioną epokę. Duszący dym papierosowy, robotnicze onuce i gigantyczna ilość dezodorantu bac. Próba wykąpania się graniczy z cudem. Zasłonka, wanna, bateria-Hickok dał by wielkie pieniądze za wystrój podczas kręcenia Krzyku. Ściany to poligon barw, kakofonia odcieni oraz kunszt konserwatora hotelowego. Fotele pamiętają każdego gościa, to istna baza genetyczna. Gdyby obcy zdobyli taki fotel podczas badań zaniechali by inwazji na naszą planetę. Ślady po wypalonych petach to dodatkowy można by powiedzieć quiz rozpoznawczy- najstarszy jaki rozszyfrowaliśmy to extra mocne (bez filtra) zostawiały charakterystyczny ślad wyglądający jak dziura po wystrzale z pistoletu (9mm). Następne to klubowe, radomskie i wśród nich perełka-marbolo. Pod wykładzinę jeszcze nie zaglądaliśmy, boimy się. Tv marki Daewoo w 100 analogowy. Jeżeli nie wiesz który guzik przycisnąć to lepiej się nie zbliżaj. Czajnik jest i to jedyny luksus jaki można rozpoznać w dzisiejszych czasach. Największy rarytas to tzw "grająca szafa" czyli szafka z wmontowanym radioodbiornikiem marki Wanda 2. Oczywiście nie podłączona ale robi wrażenie. Na jarmarku w Gdańsku cena takiego sprzętu to 700zl więc jeśli chcecie sobie zrekompensować pobyt w skansenie, nie sugerujemy niczego. Trzymajcie za nas kciuki, jak przeyrwamy do rana, napiszemy kolejna relacje. P.S.z foteli i krzesła korzystacie na własną odpowiedzialność. Regulamin hotelowy nakłada na użytkownika kary umowne za wszelkie uszkodzenia i dewastację nie ponosząc jednocześnie odpowiedzialności za zdrowie psychiczne i fizyczne gości. This used to be the premier hotel of Chelm, sadly, post-communism developments have overtaken it and left it in the dust. I've never left a hotel after one night there, but this place was an unfortunate choice (and yes, I did check the tripadvisor reviews before booking). It has two things going for it, its close to the city center, and the 5th floor offers quite a view of the city. The room was hotter than a furnace, even after leaving the window completely open for the whole night. The hairdryer we could never figure out...
