Hotel Quest — Hotel in gmina Brzesko

Great hotel - rooms are well furnished - bathroom is absolutely spotless - I would have given 5 stars but when we were there the restaurant was only open for breakfast and as we only arrived at lunchtime we didn't know about this and we were not informed on arrival that the restaurant would not be open for evening meals. When we enquired about this we were told the restaurant was closed due to the holiday (it was Easter). Eventually the barman took pity on us and cooked us some chips. We thought we would go into town (Brzesko) and find somewhere to eat but the whole town was closed for the holiday. Great idea for bringing tourists to swell the local economy. We went at 19:15 and were seated immediately, the menu offers a wonderful variety of options and (lucky for me) has English translations. My partner and I chose the potato pancakes which were already a firm favourite in our Anglo/Polski household. The drinks measures were more than generous, which I will never complain about!! Unfortunately the hotel is close to a very heavily travelled road so rather loud. Noise insulation between rooms leaves much to be desired. The room itself rather small with hardly enough room to go around the bed. The beds are old and play havoc on one’s back - not recommendable to anyone with back problems! Breakfast very basic and only until 9:30 - and they literally start clearing food away at 9:30, including on Sunday. Still probably no other option if one needs to stay overnight...
