Hello, April 2025 Review This is my fourth stay at this oasis of comfort, pampering and exquisite food. I was lucky to witness the spring 'wake up' of Bristol....flowers being placed/planted everywhere ...a swimming pool finishing work being under way...new paintings/art being hung in the main lobby.
But enough about the hotel, it is the staff that makes this place different/special from many, many ..many that I have visited over the years. They mastered the art of professionalism, friendliness and charm which is not a very easy skill to score 100% at. They make every task looking easy/'flowing'. The warm smile on their faces is an extra bonus.
What can I say! Love you all including Katarzyna at the reception that have an unique sense of humor. Katarzyna the physiotherapist that can perform magic and make you feel ten years younger. Equally, the rest of physiotherapy team; Kuba, Ola and Anna who are really...really good at their profession (trust me, I know) and are open to share their knowledge with the patient and help him/her to find answers they were looking for. the restaurant staff: Krzysztof, Asia, Agnieszka, Damian, Nazar and Karolina, who no matter how busy they are, find the time to say hello, get you your favorite wine/drink/food, tell you a funny story and simply pamper you.
Thank you for a magical week...
September 2024 Review A quick report from a little heaven in Busko-Zdrój called Bristol Busko ART & Medical SPA. If you are in a deep need of repair of your mental and physical health look no further. This is my second time at Bristol and some observations have to be put on record. HOTEL - oasis of tranquility and elegance. The interior is very individual and artistic not your usual the same boring interior suitable for any hotel. Right there you feel that you finally found the right place to be happy and to relax. FOOD - I am upset that the chef hasn't gotten Micheline (at least) one star yet. Food is creative, always with a different angle and the most important, it is fulfilling. HEALTH - a very professional staff and very open to not follow the standard treatments but to cater something custom that meets you specific needs. STAFF - this is where Bristol is superior to any other hotel not only in Busko-Zdroj but anywhere else. You feel like you just found your long lost friend. They are very professional but, at the same time, read you like an open book. They will, very quickly, tell you about all exciting things happening in neighbourhood, listen to your crazy stories even if they are busy like hell and they know exactly what you want/need/expect and they will make it happen....like a very long lost friend. My stay was magical thanks Bartlomiej, Agnieszka, Joanna, Karolina, Krzysztof, Nazar and Mikolaj. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my stay magical.
It was absolutely worth a 10 hour flight to get to...
Read moreWe had one or two minor issues during our eight night stay but were generally very pleased with our hotel/spa choice until the final evening. We had been planning another visit with friends in 2019 but the final evening was so bad that we will not be returning. We’ve rated it a 3 out of 5 overall but the final evening was zero. ||We were staying on a full board basis and had experienced two buffet dinners (of the 7 dinners we’d had) in the restaurant. The quality of the buffet food had been poor compared with that from the a la carte menu. We decided we were not going to risk a third buffet dinner on our final night and so we would pay for the a la carte. The waitress said we’d have a long wait, couldn’t say how long, and basically forced us to have the buffet. It was about 6:45/7:00pm but the serving dishes for the main course buffet choices were either empty or virtually empty and there was no soup. The soup eventually arrived and it was ok but the serving dishes remained as they were until some ‘goose confit legs’ arrived at about 7:30. They were overcooked and tough. The restaurant was understaffed (partly due to a private dinner being held in another room). We’d generally had a bottle of wine each evening but the waitresses didn’t even ask if we wanted a drink. They were too busy. We had to make do with water. We’d received excellent service from the same waitresses during the week and were astounded at the change. That evening my wife had a few slices of tomato, a small bowl of soup and a glass of water for dinner. We sat at our table watching lovely food being taken for the private party but had to put up with second class service and very little food. That food that we ate was very poor.||We complained at Reception. My husband finished by saying said “we’re staying in room 316 and I’d like to see the manager.” We heard nothing and left the next day. ||In hindsight we realised that we only received good service when the hotel wasn’t as busy. They could not cope with the influx of...
Read moreThis hotel could be really great but it isn't. First of all, watch out where you are actually staying: the apartments are 100m away from the main hotel building and are lower quality, without a few toiletries and features like boiler, bathrobe and free water. The breakfast you get in the apartment is not on par with the one you get when booking an hotel room. You save some money, true, but you are also not informed before booking of these differences, which is a shady practice.
The actual hotel looks fancy, classy and has lovely facilities. Some unfortunately seem to not be working all the time, like the jacuzzi. Others are badly kept, like the 3 different sauna only 1 of which has a proper temperature (70 degrees) while the others are kept lukewarm at most (35-40 degrees). Why wasting 2 saunas like this? The pool is large and welcoming, yet cold and without enough loungers.
Most everything in this hotel is like that: good, stylish but badly kept or not cared about enough to be really great. Bars and restaurant are quite good, with a nice south American coffee served. I can't fault them, unlike the rest of the hotel.
It is a shame as I wanted to like the Bristol very much but for a 4 stars hotel, it is full of imperfections and not exactly clear terms and that makes me not recommend it. Alternatives are few, admittedly. Perhaps go here just for the bars and restaurant while...
