We booked the Western Camp as a last minute decision to go away for a few days after seeing it in a Vlog on YouTube. ||The price we paid was typical summer holiday prices that were more expensive that should have been......thats what you get for this time of year. ||The camp is about 45 mins South by UBER from Krakow airport. ||You can't miss the camp it's well themed from the outside. |We got there mid morning so no queue to check in and our Wagon was ready without having to wait. ||They give you a padlock key to get into the wagon which is attached to a padlock going through the zips and onto a latch for security when you are out. |The Wagons are small with either double bunk beds or a single double bed. All towels and wash cloths are provided and all the accommodation have electricity and Air conditioning. ||As we booked last minute we could only get a bunked wagon. The mattresses in the wagons and teepees are very shallow and firm which made sleeping very uncomfortable for myself being a big lad. |I managed 2 nights in the wagon and had to ask of we could be moved into a wagon with a double bed as I was really cramped in the bunks. ||They found us a teepee for the next night which was bigger and had a double bed although the same hard mattress. The teepees are on ground level so be prepared for possible bug invasion! 😆||The resort is set around a lake and as such there were mosquitos and boy did they like me! To this day I still have the bites healing on my ankles!|So take some insect repellent or anti itch cream for the bites. ||The resort its self Is fantastically themed and we really enjoyed the surrounding look of wagons, teepees and sheriff huts. There's a big outdoor screen for night movies (in polish) ||There is one toilet block for each section of the resort and for the most part were kept clean and tidy. The showers are single use and we're prone to flooding. ||The bar and restaurant was really superb. The food and drinks cheaper than anything in the uk and the food for a hotel/camp resort was pretty damn good. A really nice selection of fresh pizzas and traditional polish food and drink at good quality and large portions. We really enjoyed the polish sour soup in bread bowl. ||Outside there are some fire pits that can be rented with food to cook on. We didn't try this. ||When it came to breakfast we had issues. There simply are not enough tables if the resort Is full and everyone goes at the same time. Due to covid rules the buffet was being served by the restaurant team and took on average 30 mins to get to the front of the line to be served! This was the same for any drinks as that station was also being served by restaurant team. The selection of food was vast with lots of hot and cold options of British and polish foods. ||Our other gripe for this trip was the noise level at night. If your not in a sheriff hut you are in teepees and wagons with no noise barrier to others! This made the resort very loud and you will be getting no sleep until gone midnight as you can hear the cinema, other campers screaming, laughing and shouting until the early hours. There is no phone in the accommodations so to complain about noise you have to get dressed and go to reception or the security gate. ||Energylandia is a 15 min walk from the resort or a free Dotto Train from reception. ||FYI. There are not many food options outside of the Camp or Energylandia as you are in the middle of the countryside but you do have a small shopping area at the back of the resort with a supermarket, chemist and a Rossmans (Polish Superdrug) ||UBER! if you have an early flight home don't expect to order UBER in the early morning. In zator it simply doesn't exist that early. Make sure you use reception a day or two ahead of time to book a taxi back to the airport. ||Next time we will stay in a sheriff hut off peak and hopefully I'll be able to give...
Read moreWe had the best stay at Western Camp. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Natalia on reception who had very good English and was extremely helpful. She sold us tickets to Energylandia and gave us fast passes for the top 4 rides each. The main reason for our 3 night trip was to enjoy all the rides at Energylandia and to go there every day. There is free transport to the park and back and is well sign posted every half hour although it isn’t that far to walk high we did several times.||Our sheriffs rooms were ready on arrival. The rooms were so much better than we had expected. A good size and spotlessly clean. It had a good shower, a fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee. Also had air conditioning. Plentiful towels and shower was nice and hot. The rooms are not made up but this was not an issue for us.||The camp area is well themed and a lovely lakeside setting. We used the small pool at the end of the day which had a lifeguard on duty. There was also little kiosks selling ‘tuck shop’ style bits and pieces. The visited the restaurant every evening as the food was excellent. We were served 2 nights by Anna, who was so friendly and made us so welcome and again she had very good England’s which was nice as our polish is almost non- existent. Between us we tried the Polish sour soup in a bread bowl which was excellent and I would highly recommend, also the chicken tagliatelle, the pulled rib and the burgers. A nice choice of beers and cocktails too.||The complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing. I wasn’t expecting too much but it was excellent. Lots of different breads homemade cake, nice choice of cereal and different types of milk including lactose free. There was also fruit and yoghurt and the hot breakfast that was also included was great, scrambled eggs, lovely bacon plus pancakes, beans and some nice salad. To be honest you couldn’t ask for more. I rated the breakfast so highly as an English person if the tea, milk, bacon and eggs are good quality then it is a win for me.||The Western Camp is spotlessly clean and the flowers around the camp are magnificent, it’s such a lovely setting. ||On our last day we left our belongings in the luggage room and headed out to the park, on return we were offered to used the shower and changing facilities ready for our return home. So we got to use one of the shower blocks and I have to say these were very clean and well looked after.||The camp is close to a couple of supermarkets which we used to get a few bits like beer and chocolate, it’s also close to Macdonalds but we didn’t go there as the food in Energylandia and at the WesternCamp was so good and very cheaply priced.||We had issues with the company we had booked to take us to the airport but Natalia at reception saved the day and sorted it out for us, she is a star.||It was a great trip and I would highly recommend and we will...

We stayed in a teepee, we arrived in the early hours of the morning, unfortunately our teepee was rather cold when we got inside so we put the heater on which works well and quite quickly.
We were grossed out at the slimy slug that was moving along the flooring. The bed was "king size" but it's two singles put together and it wasn't that comfortable which wasn't great.
No small mirror in the room and two disposable cups for hot drinks.
On one of the nights I had the pleasure of having a dirty ugly spider join me in our bed which was crawling across my back, which whilst amusing did freak us out. I get were in a glamping tent and bugs and other creepy crawlies can get in but yeah not for everyone.
Other quests staying in other teepees can be loud as there is no sound proofing, your sleep here will vary my girlfriend had very poor sleep on the second night which spoilt her second day inside Energylandia.
Breakfast was very good proper scrambled eggs, good sausages, cereals, breads etc. It had a good range to start you off for the day ahead. I didn't see much if any vegan/veggie options tho unless u just want salad or fruit.
Place is very clean and well kept, this was really nice to see and they had a swimming pool with sauna, playground with a sports court area. Hammocks to relax in with a cinema
One concern that I did raise to reception at check out was the showers.
BEWARE!
If you go to the showers near teepee 34 be very very careful. The showers randomly go near to boiling hot which burned me every single time I used the shower to the point on the last day I would have the shower on but would quickly go in and out to wash.
It seemed to go very hot when someone was flushing or using the taps in the bathroom either in the men's or women's area.
It was odd because at the end of the trip I thought to my self I didn't see anyone use the showers apart from me and one other person so I think the other men went and used the other shower blocks.
Anyway it's dangerous I was scolded on my chest, bum and leg and if you had a baby or young children and they get hit in the face, eyes or private areas its going to hurt and will end in tears. plumber needs to get this fixed ASAP.
Would I stay here again, yes I would overall I enjoyed this place I like the western theme. But stay in the wagons they may be smaller but they are higher off the ground so less chance of creepy crawlies I would say.
PS I didn't kill the spider we caught it and took it away...
