A good "airport" hotel for max. 2 nights!
Pros: very nice and friendly staff Cons: no cleaning at all for a stay of 5 nights! We had to even ask for toilet paper (very embarrassing), and run out again after day 4.... hotel not well cleaned apart from rooms. Swimming pool just a small basin, looks much bigger on pics, no way one can swim in it, good only for children. Breakfast menu fine but not filled up, thus half empty around 9.30 hrs. No coffee other than instant, unless paid! Fitness room with about 10 machines, whereas 5 broken and 5 programmed in Spanish language.... names itself SPA/wellness hotel, but has no shampoo in rooms (only soap) or other products, very low quality slippers need to be bought (and fall apart after 2-3 days) and dressing gown to be rented. Food in restaurant = fast food quality, kitchen closes at 20.00 hrs, which is a problem as there is nothing around to eat...
Read moreThis is the 4th time staying at the Park Poniwiec, having experienced it both in the Winter and Summer! Like previous reviews state; the hotel is clean, the staff can not do enough to please (most have even improved their English), the location is perfect and there is so much to do in and around Ustron. The weather was glorious for all except 2 days (out of an 11 day stay), but the children were still occupied with the indoor pool and the games room!||We travelled as a group of 24, with ages ranging from 7-65+ and all our needs were catered for - there is certainly something for everyone. Some of the group visited the Salt Mine, Krakow and Auschwitz, whilst others relaxed by the outdoor pool with a Polish beer!||The holiday was loved by that our return trip to the hotel has already been booked for February (ski season) and is in the planning stages for next...
Read moreWe stayed at Park Poniwiec for 7 nights in August, this was my first time visiting Poland but the group we went with have stayed here previously and recommended the hotel. I was not disappointed, the hotel is in a beautiful location, it is clean and the food is delicious serving lots of traditional Polish food. The pool is lovely and safe and the staff are really friendly but speak little English. There is lots to do locally including the high ropes which is about 10 minute drive and well worth a visit. We also visited Auschwitz which is about 1 hour 1/2 away from the hotel. You can also walk down to town from the hotel which will take about 20 minutes down the river and is a lovely walk. We enjoyed it so much we are going...
