My husband and I stayed here for one evening and the property is well kept. The two young gals at the reception were friendly and helpful. We were in a triple room in the outer building. There were 3 twin beds and the mattresses were nice and comfortable. My husband commented that the sheets and quilt were soft and quality fabric. Not sure if our room was older or styled differently than the main building. It was Ok, not fashionable I would say, just functional. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room/patio is large & bright, and the breakfast selection was very nice. We didn't like that the light bulbs are those bright ones and aren't relaxing. Also, the bathroom light is on a sensor so it shut off while in the middle of a shower, or it didn't turn off in the middle of the night for what seemed like a long time. Another strange item is that the windows didn't lock, so you had to put down the sun shades to prevent someone from breaking in, thus making the room feel like a cellar. Parking if plentiful and free. We didn't get a chance to dip into the pool, but there were children who seemed...
Read moreSo, the hotel is a bit out of town. We were renting a car so there was no problem. There has to be other ways to be able to stay here - it IS worth it!!! ||||First, the hotel is clean, modern, up-to-date and charming! It is a very historical hotel, but the owners keep it so welcoming and nice! There is an orchard out back - along with a wonderful pool that was not too cold to swim in! The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable - all the while it is also very forward thinking as in keeping all the guests happy.||||Breakfast is included in this very affordable hotel! There are homemade breads and cakes made fresh, with egg dishes too. Plenty of fruit and breakfast foods - yogurts, pastries, jam and cheeses, specialties like the preserved figs, fresh peaches and plums, plus juices and coffees. As the time passes, even more fresh foods are shared, and the whole breakfast is supreme! Oh, and the cookies! There are some of the freshest and most wonderful Portuguese cookies that are not super sweet and give the perfect breakfast accompaniment. ||||Breakfast was just unbelievable!...
Read moreSmall hotel close, but slightly outside of the city center of Évora. The hotel is not new but it's well maintained. The room was correct and had air conditioning which is nice for the summer in Alentejo. The breakfast is a buffet, classic, correct. The swimming pool is nice with a nice section for kids. It's a swimming pool of sea water which is a bit strange at first but nice. One of the reasons why we chose this hotel was the bouncing castle in the pictures, it was there but deflated which was a small deception as we had our young daughter with us. The price was reasonable, 80€ the room in August. Overall it's...
