Herdade Monte Do Sol — Hotel in Aljezur

We really loved to stay in Herdade Monte do Sol . We stayed for three weeks ! The apartment is big, the view is exceptional. Very calm and quiet, the air is fresh and amazing. In the night you hear the sound of frogs , so lovely. There are several peackocks, we so enjoyed their beauty.... We love birds, and so it was lovely for us to hear the birds twittering and singing all day long. It was wintertime when we stayed here ( February) we were surprised to see how lush green was the whole place , we went for walks on the poperty, it is big ! and beautiful ! there were flowers everywhere, and flowering trees ! Hens and roosters , very healthy looking. Horses, goats , friendly dogs and cats. ( they did not come into the house , if you did not want them to ) The host family is very very friendly, they helped us with everything. ( for instance Sofia and Daniela arranged for a massage therapist, when one of us hurt their back. ) Sofia even offered to wash our laundry, very much appreciated! Her partner ( I cant spell his name) gave us very good Portuguese wine to try... Everyone was very caring. Thank you so much ! We were served beautiful and rich breakfast to our apartment every morning. The apartment was cleaned every day ! Fresh towels and bedding every few days.... Cleaner ladies very friendly and unintruive too.. And the bed is comfortable ( very important for me ) When my daughter's children came to visit us, they always made a lot of noise, but they were completely accepted. It made our stay so relaxed . Thank you again ! I really really loved the view ... Even on the days when it was rainy and windy and cold . the view was so beautiful .... Amazing sunsets to watch ! I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone. And if we come back to this area, we will surely...

Herdade Monte do Sol is a delightful, semi-rural establishment offering a serene getaway. The staff are welcoming and charming.The accommodation very well-appointed and well equipped. ||||The kitchenette, with a microwave, a ceramic hob, a fridge freezer, a kettle, toaster, and two types of coffee machines, afforded us the opportunity to self--cater when needed although a substantial breakfast was served in the room each day.||||The main bedroom had a very comfortable double bed and a capacious wardrobe while upstairs from the living area was a galleried landing with twin beds. Although there were a/c inverters throughout the unit, there was also a woodburner in the main living area which warmed the whole unit on the cold winter nights using the firewood provided.||To the front of the unit was a covered patio with outside furniture giving the option of eating outside. From the patio there was a view over the pool area and to the sea beyond. ||The grounds are attractive but rustic. There is also a covered BBQ area with seating to the rear of the rooms. ||The nearest restaurants are an easy walk about 1km away and those in Arrifana about...
