My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this modest guesthouse for two weeks in May 2024. |While the guesthouse is a bit off the beaten path, it was just what we were looking for. We wanted a location that was near friends but also not far from Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon. If you have a car, not only is street parking plentiful, but you are 20 minutes within reach of major tourist sites. If you are without a car, I would suggest using Uber, which is readily available and reasonably priced. |There is also a bus stop nearby if you are planning to go to the beach. |Upon check-in at the guesthouse, we were met by Faustino, the delightful owner. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, he did his utmost to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. |The room, as well as the common areas, were spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked well, as did the elevator. Breakfast was simple and adequate. As an example of the hospitality we received, one day Faustino noted that I liked a certain yogurt that was not always available. Read moreEverything was great about this day. We were about 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from other parts of Lisbon. The host Faustino was great. He was better with Google translator than we were. He gave us great suggestions of things to do in Lisbon and also some great restaurants. We ate at three of the restaurants and they were excellent! The room was simple but comfortable. The breakfast was good and he was very accommodating. It would have been nice to have a microwave somewhere in the lobby for guests to use but we managed. The towels were a little scratchy but that does not affect my rating. Try adding a cup of vinegar in the laundry to soften the towels and it'll make all the difference.
