Recently stayed at this 3* Hotel in Castelo Branco and have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the place. It located close to central Castelo Branco, with a good selection of Eateries very close by and ample Car Parking.|The rooms are spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed, ample pillows, A/C, great shower, clean towels daily, fitted wardrobe space, just a nice place to be. Each room has a small TV in it with a good selection of TV Channels. Generally I found the Hotel quiet and one really nice thing was there was actually a Receptionist to greet you on arrival, which placed a little normality back into life for a while.|Breakfast was a Continental type buffet style breakfast which was adequate. There was a selection of breads/cakes/meats/cheeses/juices/coffees/teas/breakfast cereals, and if you wanted toast even a toaster was supplied along with a microwave oven. Very clean area, spacious and well laid out.|Downside of the place was there was no plug in my sink (05), no waste bin in the room and no tea/coffee making facilities, but hey, soon got used to that.|I would definitely not hesitate about staying here again, certainly the Best...
Read moreI booked a 2 bedroom suite at this hotel online through Booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed the suite was not available and neither was a triple room since I was traveling with 2 other companions. The woman at the desk brought me to a small double room and added a fold away bed. I was of course grateful, especially being a foreigner in a country where I don't speak the language. Relieved, we went back to the desk I looked at the rate card and the rate for the double room was 42 euro and a triple 64 euro. I was shocked when she tried to charge me 80 euros for that room which was much smaller than a triple. After I balked at that price, she brought the rate down to 60 euro. I returned to my car and booked another room at another hotel when she came out and showed me an available triple room at the normal rate.||||You can decide for yourself the ethics of this sort...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights to attend some musical performances by our son and colleagues. We found this to be a nice quiet, clean and pleasant place to stay. Not pretentious, but what we like.||Staff is friendly and do their best to deal with our lack of Portuguese language experience.||The breakfast is better than what we generally expect in a budget hotel.||Highly...
