Absolutely the worst hostel I've ever encountered! Rude, unprofessional staff who made our stay the worst ever! I'm a 50 year old disabled grandfather whos never had any issue whatsoever when travelling, but at this hostel a young member of staff named Jael swore at me once and threatened me twice. In fact, I hadn't met him or seen him yet, so when he came up to me and swore at me and threatened me I was in complete shock. After travelling the world for 3 years, staying in 100's of hostels, hotels, and apartments, I have now found the worst hostel imaginable. Unsafe for females - there have been 3 incidents in 2 weeks involving worrying crimes, and there's a member of staff who myself and 4 other people believe is a predator. One man was caught peeping on girls through their bathroom keyhole whilst pleasuringhimself. One man went to the girls dorm and got in a girls bed. One man was reported for repeatedly touching a girl. The tv didn't work. Only 2 plug sockets worked in our room. The bed was really uncomfortable. It was one of the worst beds I've ever had the misfortune to sleep on. Myself and my wife didn't sleep well at all. One staff named Jael swore at me and threatened me. 4 other people who I'd just met told how he shouldn't be working there because he's completely unprofessional. He also gives drugs to girls and takes them back to his flat. Everyone I spoke to believes that he's a sexual predator. His sole purpose of being there seemed to be to get girls back to his flat. At times I saw females squirming uncomfortably because of his manner when they arrived reception to check in. His manner was completely different when males came to check in. Staff were rude to me. Staff were lazy and didn't want to do anything apart from be there. We were told 3 different things by 3 different staff. We still don't know the correct rule about smoking CBD(which is legal and sold in the shops). Originally we were told we can smoke on our terrace. Then we were told not anywhere on the premises. Then we were told on the sun terrace. Only 1 towel per person every 10 days, so we couldn't change the 1 towel we had each as we were only there for 6 days. Staff use the place for their friends to come. Customers aren't cared about 1 bit. Its literally a hang out for staff and their friends. Staff were up playing guitar and laughing and shouting loudly until after midnight, when the sign says quiet hours begin at 9pm. We couldn't get to sleep. The worst vibe ever. The most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered. There were only 3 staff we met who were professional and there to do their job. The rest were an absolute liability to the owner of the business.....especially Jael. Gabriel, Albert, and Raquel were all lovely and they were all totally professional workers who cared about the hostel and its customers. The cleaners were also extremely professional and precise in their work. In fact they are some of the best cleaners I've seen in any hostel I've ever been to.

This hostel truly stands out as one of the most affordable options in Faro Beach. Its unbeatable location, just a 5-minute taxi ride from the airport and a short walk to both the beach and ferry, makes it incredibly convenient. Surrounded by nice restaurants and bars, it's the perfect hub for those looking to explore Faro Beach. While the rooms are of medium size, they offer a comfortable stay. Shared washrooms maintain cleanliness standards, and the availability of kitchen facilities adds to the convenience. The staff, known for their friendliness, contribute to the overall positive experience. For budget-conscious travelers seeking a central and accessible stay in Faro Beach, this hostel is a top choice.

This hostel treated me badly and unprofessionally (I booked 5 nights the first time from Tuesday night to Sunday morning at 11 am I will leave after thatI extended my stay to 3 nights from Sunday night to Tuesday night On Wednesday morning I will leave at 11 am but they came to me on Tuesday morning and told me that the stay period has expired) It is nonsense and I said professionalism in dealing with customers It is a beautiful hostel close to the sea but some of its staff are not professional and I did not want to cause them problems. I repeat that the place is good for me because it overlooks the sea but some of the staff members lack professionalism.

The location is amazing, it is right on the beach, and bed bug free. I booked one night and ended up staying 2 weeks just for the sun and beach. I'm backpacking Europe, so it was the perfect place to take it slow and enjoy the sun and views in winter. Their rooftop view is spectacular for a cup of morning coffee or for a glass of wine during sunset. I'd recommend you bring your own bunk bed privacy curtains to make your experience better, and a bunch of fresh groceries to cook your own meals if you plan to stay awhile since the cheapest grocery store is a 50 min walk one way (or you could take the bus). They have two small convient grocery stores nearby, but they are a little overpriced. The restaurants nearby serve cheap, affordable meals, so you could also just eat out the entire time. Selma was the best, she greeted me every day with a warm smile, and she was always happy to see me. All the staff were lovely, smiling often, cleaning often, and they were very respectful to their guests, making them feel at home.

Cons: Wifi is the worst, it goes in and out constantly. They say there is two wifi options, but "NOS" wifi doesn't work, only "BLife" wifi works. A lot of guests were moving to new hostels for this reason. Some beds have lights, and some beds don't have lights. If you are staying awhile, you could grab a bed light from an empty bed to use on yours. I had ear plugs, so that made sleeping great, but you can hear people in the hangout area or kitchen, so bring ear plugs. The rooms get pretty moist since you are right on the beach, and in winter, the moist air can make it pretty cold at night and in the day, so bring layers to stay warm. Some guests can be weird, but if you try and void them, they won't bother you. They are friendly, but you could definitely avoid them by keeping to yourself.

Pros: Showers got hot, they had good cooking utensils, and multiple kitchens (3 total). The price is great, so don't expect the extravagant lush hostel life. The bed was clean and basic, and the bathrooms were basic. Everything you need is there. & for the beach/views, it's totally worth it.

I'd recommend taking the ferry instead of the bus. It is cheaper with better views. They...

Never would recommend this to anybody. Horrible experience.|Young staff was really unfriendly and incompetent.||Beds are really creaky in any dorms and doors don’t close, they “bang” and need to be “banged’ repeatedly to properly close||I was given a bed in a 6 person dorm and show that from that bedroom there was an access to the roof.|I asked and double checked that “is not that anyone will just enter this dorm to go to the roof and back?” I was told “no no worry, only for the ppl of this room “||Of course this was not the case.|My fed was between the entrance door and the balcony door that led to the roof terrace… |I had all night people passing by, entering the dorm, taking loudly as they walked along my bed and went into the terrace ands up the roof top..|Immagine what a lovely night of non sleep and frustration||The WiFi keeps cutting off every few minutes, and there is no way you’ll be able to do your work properly if you are hopping from a remote working possibility..||Used to be much nicer a couple of years ago.|Something did not go well|Along the way and I will not come back to this hostel ever again||Toilets are also smelly and super unclean. Truly get your things...
