Casa Monte Cristo Collection — Hotel in Lagos

It's been nearly 2 weeks since we arrived at the most incredible Wedding Venue for our 4 day celebrations. Casa Monte Cristo In Lagos simply blew us away from start to finish. Victoria & Steve and their team Deliver above all expectations on every level. Not only are the Villas Beautiful, clean & well presented inside and out, the planning and preparation that goes into their events is outstanding!

We set our trust in Victoria 20months in advance when booking our venue... and she has been there every step of the way to help and guide! She organises everything with you, from photographer and florist recommendations, helping plan your run of the day (week), DJ & music Collaboration, and all the extra events too .. and all executed to perfection.

We booked 3 Villas, Tres, Cinco & Seis & had 40 guests.

We had a welcome Pizza Party the day before the wedding at our Villa... Tres Villa, and watched that afternoon as the gardens were transformed, we had breakfast delivered to our guest's Villas on the morning of the Wedding, Our Wedding Day & Drinks Reception at Tres Villa, & then the BBQ and Party at Wedding Land, (a fabulous purpose build Marquee area) the next morning we had a late Brunch for everyone in the Marquee too!

The food was INSANE! Steve is a genius, the BBQ is an event in itself, they catered for all our guests with no questions asked and some of them were a little tricky too! Everyone raved about the food and we all ate like Kings and Queens for the week!

Victoria is just the most amazing person, and she was there every step of the way & on the day too! She knew exactly what we needed and we didn't need to ask, she was always just there when we needed her, taking it all in and noticing the small things, but so relaxed it felt like she was part of our family!

Now I'm a Virgo, I love to plan, im a list maker, I love sharpies and I love to have everything perfect and I put my heart and soul into the planning of our wedding.... my trust with Victoria there, I didn't have to worry.... Everything was timed to perfection, everything went so smoothly and we have a 2 year old!! The whole team were incredible with our little boy too! Nothing was too much trouble!

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue and hosts for our Wedding, and we WILL be back to celebrate future anniversaries! All of our friends and family want to come back too!

Charlotte Jane Photography Charlie is an absolute legend! So beautiful, fabulous in every way; so so easy to work with and made us feel so special! She was absolutely incredible with our little alfie and a groom that doesn't like to pose for a smile! We can't thankyou enough for making our day so wonderful! My Dried Flower Bouquet & button holes were utterly beautiful from Aquaflor Florist (organised completely through Victoria) I sent in inspiration pictures and they were just perfect!

DJ Double - literally brilliant in every way! The lead up being so easy and organised and all online just adding my information, sings and playlists to an online portal beforehand... everything ran like clockwork and on the day you were both just awesome! Thankyou Victoria for arranging this too!

I booked Jackie at Algarve Wedding Steam Pristine To steam my dress, Veil & Boys Suits! Absolutely required after being packed on a flight! She was beautiful and wonderful and so easy to work with! Thankyou so so much! Victoria helped me hide my dress too so my bridesmaids wouldn't see it!

What made our perfect wedding was having All of our Family & Friends fly out to join us ... this was truly so special... but none of this could have been possible if we hadn't have found Casa Monte Cristo! In the words of my Husband... "if Calsberg did Weddings... it wouldnt be a patch on CMCVillas" It was our dream wedding! A week we will never forget!

We hired all of CMC for 4 days for our wedding celebrations (57 adults and 7 children). Over the weekend, we hosted a pizza welcome party on the Thursday, the wedding itself Saturday, and a relaxed brunch the Sunday.

First, the experience on the ground was incredible. The food was exceptional - every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Not only was Steve amazing, but all the staff at CMC went above and beyond to look after us and our guests all weekend. They were always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything. The DJ provided by DJ Solutions Algarve kept the dance floor full ALL night, and got so much praise amongst a very varied crowd (shout out James!). All the villas were spotless, spacious, and comfortable, making everyone feel truly spoiled (which everyone has commented on since!). Victoria and her team were amazing with all our guests. Our group ranged in age from 10 months - 84 years old and every single person felt truly looked after and cared for. Victoria even supported when a Medical appointment was needed - the whole team went above and beyond to make our time at CMC perfect.

The reason we’ve rated 4 stars rather than 5 is that planning was at some points a bit challenging. To caveat this, we were quite a ‘DIY couple’, we had lots of bits we wanted to personalise and create ourselves. This sometimes made things trickier, especially as some venue rules and restrictions seemed to change over time (or perhaps we misunderstood them early on), particularly when we’d seen other weddings do certain things. We understand Victoria has since made some adjustments as a result.

We also found some of the upgrades (such as drinks) offered by CMC, as well as some of their recommended suppliers, to be on the expensive side. Because of this—and because we were happy to be more hands-on—we chose to arrange and create some of these elements ourselves. In the end, Victoria was very accommodating in letting us handle as much as we could, and by the time the wedding weekend arrived, everything came together beautifully. While there were moments of stress during planning when things felt a bit uncertain or different from what we’d hoped, we recognise that much of this was down to us wanting to personalise and manage costs. I am sure there would’ve been no issue at all if we had CMC handling more of the arrangements!

That said, once we arrived, everything ran totally smoothly, and the team made sure our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. It was a weekend we all wish we could do again.

To end although this review is about CMC - I wanted to also mention Chloe Davies, Make Up, Lucy Fox, Celebrant and Helena (Ever After Visuals), Content Creator. These guys were INCREDIBLE also! Helena was the extra bridesmaid I never knew I needed and her content has helped us relive our special day and will for years to come.

Our wedding is still the highlight of conversations with family and friends and ‘the best wedding ever’ has been quoted in many of these. If you’re looking for a stunning setting with excellent food and service, this venue delivers beautifully. Thank you Victoria, Steve and team - we hope to see you...

An absolute dream - perfect!

We held our wedding at Casa Monte Cristo Tres in May 2025 with the reception under the tent between Cinco & Seis. Although I’ve been coming to this area of the Algarve for 10 years and my now husband has been here his whole life, we’d actually booked this venue without viewing it first which originally we thought was a bit of a risk! How wrong we were!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the right venue for our wedding weekend - it’s truly the most special place.

Our guests settled in, dived in the pool and made the most of the BBQs at villas Cinco & Seis while Tres gave us the perfect place to host our wedding party and families. We had the fridges pre-filled with food & booze so we could just get on celebrating from the minute we arrived!

Our wedding day was, without exaggeration, perfect. Everything ran seamlessly, thanks to Victoria's organisation and the calm, confident staff who made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. There was not a single moment of stress – just pure joy and celebration. Every detail was handled with such care and professionalism, we were able to be fully present and soak up every second.

I am very "type A" and everyone kept asking me why I, as the bride, was the calmest person there! But it was because I knew everything was handled so I could fully relax and enjoy the whole weekend.

The wedding day, and the four days we stayed with our family & friends at Tres, Cinco & Seis, exceeded our wildest dreams.

The flowers were beautiful and really set the vibe for the whole day - bright and colourful - with an arch to die for.

The food was phenomenal - shout out to Steve on the BBQ! We have some big eaters and we knew we’d done well when our guests were refusing third helpings :D

The DJ was fantastic, reading the vibe perfectly and keeping the dance floor full all night. We chucked Wes (DJ Double) some curveballs with our music taste but as a true pro he smashed it and had everyone up dancing from the first dance to the last song - I don’t think I sat down all night! He also orchestrated a 50-person conga line!!

We also hired the Photo Booth which was a great move and we were presented the next day at brunch with a hilarious set of photos in a guestbook.

Victoria rolled with our unconventional requests for decor and running order while Wes and Duane somehow magically mixed Pink Pony Club with Korn and Sepultura!

Our friends and family stayed for the entire week across the beautiful villas, and we created memories we’ll remember for a lifetime – the best meals, impromptu Bon Jovi sing songs, stupid games by the pool, late-night ping pong battles… The villas themselves were stunning – comfortable, spacious, and with everything you could possibly need - even a beer fridge a few steps from the pool!

We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the best week of our lives.
