We found the place by a pure accident. We were amazed that a town with a campsite was even there. The site is a work in progress as it modernises but the core of the site is still in place. Jose the manager has his young team eager and willing to do any job needed. His team are dedicated to the customer and their campsite. The beaches, cycle paths (running for 20km)and town are top notch. The restaurant on site provides excellent food and drink at a good price. Beta and Jose with their team working morning noon and night to make your stay a good one. We cant wait...

Camping Municiple Pedrogao Grande, must be one of the best kept secrets in camping in Portugal. Plenty of shade, water points, barbecues and a nice club house, plus WiFi all a few yards from a lake with good swimming. Also a first class restaurant Panoramico at the swimming point. We stayed in the bungalows for 5 days and only have good things to say about this place: quiet, with good facilities (small market, a stand to buy meat, fresh fish and fresh bread, as well as a small bar and buffet meals in a separate room). Because we were with small children, the only drawback was the little children's park, which was being rebuilt (not very clever doing it during the summer, but...). It's within walking distance of everything outside, be it the beach, restaurants or bars. Would...
