Hotel Santa Margarida — Hotel in Oleiros

The Hotel is located in Oleiros, near a beautiful bridge.||The rooms are really large and nice, we were 4 , 2 adults and 2 children, and it was plenty of space for everyone. It was one of the most silence rooms I have stayed.||The swimming pool is not very large, but it’s a small hotel thus it works fine for the number of guests, and gardens surrounding it are very nice.||The breakfast is ok, not a huge amount of offer but fair enough for a decent breakfast.||We stayed with half board, dinner included, food was ok, not exceptional, the problem was included meal options were not very appropriated for kids.., I was expecting the option of light dishes that all kids like, stakes, pastas etc.. The only options were codfish typically Portuguese, but not everyone likes it, than some really traditional local dishes, with goat or lamb… Overall I do recommend the Hotel really nice...

This place exceeded our expectations. This is a modern, trendy hotel that gives you a huge room for a great price. Parking is convenient in a lot around the back that even as nice garden. The have a restaurant that serves traditional cuisine. The rooms have the most comfortable beds we had in Portugal, the rooms were so large the desk area was like a mini office space. The bathrooms were large and modern. The service was great even providing maps and tips on where to visit. The only downside was with the Wi-Fi. A bad storm came in while we visited and unfortunately took the Wi-Fi with it but you can't blame a hotel for a force of nature and the staff informed us it was a common issue in this region...

The hotel itself is indeed excellent - wonderful modern architecture well integrated in the environment. The rooms are almost perfect (the AC is quite noisy), the atmosphere is calm and relaxed and the staff is friendly and helpful, especially providing touristic information. The hotel has free WiFi, but we experienced some connection problems that were solved only after asking twice in the reception. Strangely, the TV has only a few channels. ||The breakfast was way better than we expected with a few interesting local products. ||The swimming pool is rather small, but the area around it is wonderful.
