Still living here after a month, having extended indefinitely with a contract that also includes a tiny car. LIVE UPDATE: After 5 months, the insane property manager, 'Frankie the planky' arranged for the car to be repossessed; which he had apparently illegally added to the property contract (illegally - as he has no such licence, it turns out...). After trying to force me out of the rental property with a convoluted rollercoaster of lies and counter-lies, and asking for his car back it vanished under cover of night. He maybe wanted an excuse to tear up the house contract. It's anyone's guess. Lies and misinformation swirl wherever this man goes.
Public Security Police acknowledged immediately that FF reclaimed it (after initially lying about having it), but didn't want to 'intervene' as Frank the Plank rented it to me without having a licence (the upshot is that he keeps the car and my money). That means he hadn't properly insured it or paid tax on it either. He is a con man and the PSP seem to be enabling him. They did seem interested in fining him, but not stopping him or making him give me my money back.
How convenient and cosy that the police let him know I had reported him and had made a statement. They told me straight-faced they will deal with him privately. So, I looked the Chief of Police at Sao Vicente in the eye today right then and there and told him the new Portuguese word I had just learned: Currupcao. He tried to throw me out of his office. I told him to get his hands off me. He did the latter. I stayed and carried on telling him he was corrupt.
Then, I phoned the fraud police (ARAE) to report The Chief for obstructing an investigation and xenophobic intimidation and Franco for menacing behaviour (and theft). I gave them my full statement the PSP ignored. I also provided all the evidence that Franky was too arrogant to hide. I also told the Fraud Squad to access the PSP phone logs to witness their xenophobia. PSP are too stupid to do it themselves or even know that we know they keep logs. I considered making an official complaint to the superiors of the PSP Squadron Chief citing xenophobia and corruption, but couldn't see any point. I expected that they would attempt to discredit, frighten and intimidate me. I expected to be arrested or interviewed by the PSP or the ARAE, despite the PSP doing all they could to thwart my claims against Generalissimo Francisco over much of November 2020.
Not trusting any authorities, I cut my losses and moved away.

Landuré de Baixo 1st July - 8th July 2021(booked for whole July) When we alerted the manager of this apartment about the BEDBUGS, he said that killing them was very expensive and he would have to spray the whole house with poison. Then he took us for the insurance company. We thought he wanted to handle this situation responsibly like we do. As for us, we behaved as we should, to prevent the spread, we consulted it with the rodent control company. They told us that are definitely bedbugs and had to throw out all our stuff, after we showed them the proofs. (throw out stuff for at least 1200eur!!)
Our response was adequate given the condition of the house after all the previous problems:
-MOLD on the walls in bedroom, in bathroom, on curtains in kitchen -leaking toilet -dirty washing machine (again MOLD) -wrong pans -finally BEDBUGS
There was no rude or aggressive speech on our side, but manager's reaction was aggressive for us, he called us liares and bad characters and we vandalized his house. Of course, after we cleaned after us his house, and then we somehow vandalized it, but how?! I just forgot my HDMI cabel in his TV, no more!.... We would expect more professional approach from him! And think it would be a good idea to send a hygiene quality...
