Hotel Ocidental is a clean and simple hotel . Yes it is dated , however super clean, exceptional staff going out of their way to assist. In the bedrooms you will find two single beds - mattress a little hard two pillow each - but all manageable. Read moreThe staff is friendly, inviting, and attentive which is probably the best part of our experience. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated. We did have a ptac unit so the room temperature was comfortable. We were able to have the balcony door open most if the time which allowed us to feel like we were right on the ocean! The mattress was firm and reminded me of an old camp bed. The shower was less than ideal with the shower head old and quite painful. The breakfast was minimal with bread, cheese, jams, peaches, dry cereal, juice, and coffee. The hotel served as a base for our 2 days of sightseeing. There is a snack bar and a grocery store nearby.
