In one word PERFECT!

A small house in the garden is located in the hills just a few minutes from Funchal. In the large garden there is another house for rent and the house where the owners live. Enough privacy is ensured. The garden is beautiful, carefully maintained, lots of flowers, trees - a small botanical garden :-)

The house is spacious enough for two people, very well furnished, we had everything we needed. Spacious bed, clean towels every day, toiletries available. Only the bathrobe was a bit small for 194cm :-)

Very clean, perfectly cleaned. Every day! And every day breakfast in the fridge. Juices, delicious fresh pastries, fruit, jam, ham, cheese, eggs, coffee capsules...

Due to the weather it was cold, but the house has heating, air conditioning (which also heats) and an American stove + wood.

What a beauty, this is a fabulous spot!! So close to all tourist attractions but when your here it feels your in the botanical gardens itself. It is very green, nice and quiet. This combined with wonderful owners and staff that do everything, but seriously everything to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had some nice BBQ lessons from Pedro (the owner) in his nice furnace/bbq and they went to multiple locations to find “rooibos” tea for my wife. Not needed but they do. The bed is very good, the house (Azalea) is very very cosy but has all you need (oven, air fryer, fridge etc.) this combined with a very nice shower, sun beds etc. Even an umbrella is ready if needed. Eine ganz ganz tolle ruhige Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage mit ganz lieben Besitzern. Die kleinen Häuser sind in den Garten Platziert und sind sehr schön ausgestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Ein tolles Bad, kleine Küche, um sich mal etwas kochen zu können, Fernseher (wer ihn den braucht) mit englischsprachigen Kanälen, Kamin der benutzt werden kann. Einfach alles da! Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt hier. Gerade nach den Wandertouren, war es wirklich unglaublich schön, hier wieder herzukommen. Es geht hier nicht um Luxus, sondern um Gemütlichkeit und Ruhe. Wir sind der Meinung, dass das hier eine Ruheoase ist. Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Abseits des Trubels, hat man hier seine Ruhe. In 20min seid ihr in Funchal oder am Flughafen. Ihr könnt den Bus nehmen oder aber mit Auto (wir empfehlen den Mietwagen). Dieser kann dann auf dem Grundstück kostenfrei abgestellt werden. Das Frühstück war fantastisch lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Jeden Tag frisches Brot und Obst, Eier, Müsli, O-Saft, Milch, Wurst, Käse, Kaffee usw. Man nimmt normalerweise das Frühstück bei sich in der Unterkunft zu sich und bereitet es selber zu in der kleinen Küche! Die Vermieter sind so unglaublich nett und bemüht, das man sich wohl fühlt. Es gibt auch ein a la Card Frühstück. Auf Wunsch, besorgt euch der Vermieter noch tolle Restaurantplätze, die sich wirklich lohnen. Die Sauberkeit ist perfekt, da legen die Besitzer großen Wert drauf. Das Personal ist sehr sehr nett und sehr bemüht, dass es euch gut geht! Alles in allem, ist das eine Unterkunft, die ihres gleichen sucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Vielen Dank...
