Had a great bus ride from funchal ( number 129 from near the cable car) death defying hairpins sheer drops for €2.20 then a nice steep walk up from the village to the bar great views on a clear day brilliant selection of foreign ..mostly german and Belgium ..beers didnt see any Portuguese craft but still great ..had a sandwich for lunch so cant comment on any other foods but the barman was freindly and helpful great crossroads location great people...

We had the most expensive cafe garoto on Madeira in this bar, for 1.5 € (one garoto). The bar keeper is benefiting from the possition at the end/start of the levada ... price in similar "village bars" run from...
