B&B Casa Do Vale AL — Hotel in Tomar

We had 3 nights in this lovely rural b&b in central Portugal. The swift and friendly communication prior to arrival was matched by a warm welcome when we actually got there.

Our room was immaculately clean and fresh, and equipped with a fridge as well as kettle. Very useful. The bed was comfy, and shower strong.

Jan and Nicole could not have done more to make us feel at home. We had dinner with them on our first night which was absolutely delicious, as were the laid back breakfasts each morning.

It was a treat to have fresh towels each day, as well as a fresh bottle of water. Nothing was too much trouble.

The pool was also immaculately clean, thanks to Louis’ daily attention, and was a special place to relax, with the scent of the huge fig tree nearby (‘help yourself to as many as you can eat!’ we were told).

All in all, a really lovely relaxed place to use as a base for exploring the region, or just to have some down time. Highly...

A very nice rural accommodation. Our room was one of three in a row with a pleasant garden view just 25 metres or so from the sparkling clean swimming pool. The room was a good size equipped with fridge, tv we didn’t try, powerful shower and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a selection of yoghurt, egg choice with ham and cheese and a bread selection with butter and jams, tea or coffee and juice, always offered more if needed. Quiet and within a 20 minute drive to Tomar. There was one issue on our first night, a Monday, as the few local restaurants all close that day leaving a night drive back into town the only option If you are here on a Monday evening just be prepared and bring some food and wine to sit on your patio for a continued...

We went for 3 weeks to Portugal, especially to visit the central and northern region. We arrived here to finish our roundtrip before flying home from Lisbon.||Gorgeous place to relax, quiet and a big plus is the pool and the trees. Jan and Nicole, the hosts are very friendly; after a warm welcome they showed is the room. Simple, clean, comfortable bed and bathroom. And even a clothes drying rack! Enough space for luggage!! We did visit Tomar. By car about 15 minutes and enjoyed the quiet evenings in the beautiful garden of this B&B. The location is easy to find. Good price/quality - value for money.
