Hotel Onix — Hotel in Viseu

The hotel is located outside of the Viseu city so there are no sights or pleasant streets to walk in the evening. There is one decent restaurant called Beirao, in a short walk from the hotel on the opposite side of the street. By the way, be attentive, TA maps show that there is a restaurant #1 in Viseu in walking distance from the hotel. This is not so. We searched for this restaurant for a long time using TA and google maps and it is not there. So just go strait to Beirao- you will not be dissapointed.||||The hotel itself is nice. Our room was spacious and cozy, all the equipment worked good. We had a good night sleep.There was a small complimentary water in our room.||||The breakfast not very good. It was the poorest selection of bread and bakery I have seen in Portugal. Really sad choice presented by the cheapest cookies and bun (singular) from the supermarket. There where some fruits, yogurt, muesli, cheese and ham, sausages and scrambled eggs.To make justice to the hotel - the coffee tasted good. ||Recommended for short overnight stay and don't count...

#electricity went out twice for hours! ||This hotel isn’t worth the time or money. There are no amenities at all, and for the price 150 euro per night, there many other choices. ||The electricity went out in the entire hotel from 2am until about 7am. And again at 8am,, I checked out at 10am and there was still now power. When I checked out, the girl went in my room “she said she making sure I didn’t steal anything”. Shameful! There is nothing of value at this hotel to steal. I have a video of this encounter. Antes de qualquer coisa aviso que o que me agradou foi o desconto que tive pelo Odisseias, que acredito na qual o hotel mantém vínculo para tentar retomar a clientela pelo custo benefício, o que realmente não valeu a economia. Primeiramente a recepcionista Micaela que nos atendeu parecia não saber sequer lidar com uma situação de “quebra gelo”, visto que eu estava aniversariando no dia do check in e perguntei se haveria algum “mimo” ou algo para o aniversariante. A mesma respondeu que já havia muitas “regalias” destas quais eu paguei ( jantar, massagem e decoração do quarto) e nada além disso foi sugerido ou “dado” de cortesia. Ainda perguntei sobre a piscina aquecida (que de aquecida não tinha nada - supostamente deveria estar 27 graus e tão pouco esteve próximo dessa temperatura). A mesma disse que para frequentar o ambiente era necessário ter touca (no site não havia qlq informação sequer a respeito desse quesito) e que se caso não tivéssemos não poderíamos frequentar a piscina. Outra pessoa que estava na receção percebeu o inconveniente e resolveu a situação de maneira simples e amigável. O jantar que reservei foi nota 2. Havia apenas 2 opções de comida e mesmo assim a maneira como foi servida demonstra que precisam e muito melhorar neste aspecto. A comida parecia ter sido esquentada e os legumes refogado por demais, davam uma má impressão do prato. A única ressalva foi a sobremesa que não era assim tão má. A piscina externa mesmo que em época de não utilização estava deplorável, toda verde cheia de lodo é impraticável para banho. Fotos do site não condizem com a realidade. - Foi uma experiência que valeu pela viagem e conhecimento da região e seus adoráveis vinhos e ótima culinária fora do hotel.
