Pensiunea Nimbus — Hotel in Arad

I booked many months ago & I advised I was 82 & had an early train. They sent a message offering a taxi and a packed breakfast. I agreed and paid. Once paid they changed. On arrival they said no taxi and i would at 82 years have to walk in the dark for  2 klm. I told the woman I had aready had a bad fall on arrival. I was told the packed "breakfast" i had paid for was not available. Only a sandwich which was an unimaginative & uncaring "doorstop" sandwich of thick dry bread. No fruit, no drink & told to take water from my room. Totally unbelievable! Had they been honest months ago before payment I would have cancelled.

My room was worse. The room was airless and uncomfortably hot (end of September so no excuses) as the air con was not effective and ancient and under specified. I had to use usb fan  I had brought for train travel. Fridge was ineffective and produced more heat than air con could cope with and over 6 hrs could not chill water. Shower was broken and erratic. Sink plug was missing. Only one pillow on double bed.I had to ask for another! One 7ml of shampoo.Unbelievable. So mean. Honestly is important. Payment should not be taken when agreements are cancelled. At night I had to use ear plugs due to loud pop bands nearby.. Had they not taken my money, i would have walked out Avoid. Pensionea Nimbus is located in a quiet residential area at 1.6km distance of Arad railway station and offers 6 rooms and a very good breakfast. Good Wi-Fi. Service is friendly.||||Our adequately furnished & decorated room had desk & chair, TV, wardrobe & safe, fridge, and OK double bed. Window can be opened and has a mosquito screen. We had a bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. The window of the bathroom doesn’t have a mosquito screen, so beware. All was clean. No tea facility in the room. A tea in the evening is charged extra.||||A very good breakfast is served: eggs made to order, bread & cake, cold-cuts & cheese, tomato & cucumber, butter & marmalade, juices & water, yoghurt, tea & coffee made to order. The breakfast was so rich, it wasn’t a problem to make a good take-away sandwich. ||||Hotel Nimbus is a practical hotel and we had a good stay....

EXTREMELY friendly, kind lady at check in.||Very clean.|| 6 euro/ 30 LEI for a very good breakfast. ||Downsides:||Dogs barking nonstop outside when trying to go to sleep, then AC noises/ squeaks/ hard to describe annoying sounds all night. ||Pillow super thin.||Our room was small and there was no place to set your luggage.||AC didn't work well.
