Pensiune Safrane — Hotel in Băile Herculane

Very bad experience at this family run hotel.|My room was on the third floor, there was no lift and no help with luggage.|There were three single beds in my room and I was sleeping on what appeared to be a mattress protector, as opposed to a regular fitted or flat sheet!|There was no safe, no fridge, no hair dryer, no shower cap, no kettle, no toiletries. |NO hot water in the morning|The TV didn’t work, it wouldn’t switch on.|There was lots of noise from running water from other rooms and lots of road noise.|The internet was not good, yet the signal on my mobile phone was perfect! ||The dinner was very poor, very basic food, no flavour.|I was charged for items that I didn’t ask for and the owner (woman) got quite aggressive and asked for a tip whilst she was overcharging me for food that I didn’t order. I assumed that these items were part of the meal. |The menu was in English, but she didn’t speak a word of English. |The next morning, herself and her husband were sitting in the dining room watching me eating and choosing items from the very small selection of breakfast food. Good food -comparing to.other restaurants in Herculane. Decent accomodation. Cleanliness level -medium.|The only thing that bothered me was the attitude of the owners, very inflexible,not very polite (when I asked if I can serve dinner, the answer was "ohhh, you have to wait a lot!!!"). Basic room, no air condtioning, repaired sheets, could have been cleaner.||The bar / restaurant was staffed by one chef, a waitress/kitchen helped and a man who I presumed was the manager sitting on a chair drinking beer and very occasionally collecting plates.
