Hanul Șimon Pensiune si Restaurant — Hotel in Bran

I would have a lot to say but I will limit myself to one aspect. Given the negative experience that I and my family (wife and 5 year old child) had by booking through Booking.com at this location, I sincerely recommend you to avoid this location. Having a confirmed booking for one night on 10.10.2020, I showed up at the reception with my family around 18:30 pm. Even if on the same day I called and confirmed that we would arrive later, when arriving at the front desk, the receptionist said that we did not have any reservation. Although I showed him the Booking.com confirmation, he still said we have no reservation. Note: it was 18:30 p.m. when we showed up at the reception and we were put in the situation where we had no accommodation for that night. Please keep in mind that this welcoming host, if you do not want to have similar experiences, told Booking that we were too noisy and they did not wanted to accommodate us. Bad, like in Not Good. It is dirty from the hallways to the kitchen. The room I stayed in and the bathroom are worn out and the same with the seating in the dining room and in the reception area. Location is nice but i could not use the assigned balcony because there was the end of the exhaust from the kitchen which is noisy and smelly. I had to keep my balcony door closed and argue with the ownersand justify why they should turn off the annoying fan. I had to remind them a few times in my two day stay, eventhow I stayed at the Hanul Simon only through the nights. In the morning I was woke up by the fumes of burnt grease and the noise of the fan two floors down in the kitchen. At night i could not find parking for my car at the facility. I had to park outside because parking was not enough for all the guests and i was late,i guess. You can have fun there too but if you do not care for this kind of fun...

We stayed here for an extended weekend and found a truly heartwarming facility with friendly owners and excellent food. The Junior-suite room we stayed was spacious , warm, quiet and had a generous terrace. A big plus for us was the fact that the facility and the owners are pet-friendly. Our French Bulldog was the mascot of the stay. The breakfast is varied and one can enjoy a variety of local traditional food, homemade and delicious. The menu of the restaurant includes a large variety of both Romanian and international food, with a very good price ratio both in terms of quality and quantity. The surroundings are truly worth to explore, the owners will gladly recommend places worth seeing and visiting nearby.
