Alexandros Hotel — Hotel in Bușteni

I stayed in an appartment which have not been renovated for years. Rusty and dirty bathroom, stained and overused carpet, just a shadow of a bad taste golden interior design that once might have seemed opulent. The personnel terribly rude and unfriendly, especially an outdated yet smug male receptionist. Poor choice of continental breakfast and really bad tasting dilluated coffee. On top of it all, there is no facility/access for disabled persons, even though by law, ensuring access for persons with disabilities is a must. Likewise there is no elevator, just numerous rows of stairs. There is no playground for kids, even though the hotel yard is very large. In addition, the hotel personnel did nothing to stop or at least try to stop the partying groups on the terrace, disturbing tge dilencr untill late st night. Nice room, excellent service, decent food, reasonable price but if you are thinking about checking into the hotel to get some sleep, go somewhere else. There is a disco attached to the hotel which we weren't made aware of. We stayed in room 101 ( ironic ) we could feel every beat from the loud bass. I rang reception to ask what time we could expect it to finish. The very pleasant receptionist was apologetic and explained that it finished at 3am. He said he would ask the DJ to turn it down & close the doors. The volume was soon turned down a little soon after my phone call which was a pleasant surprise but we didn't get a great nights sleep. Other than the noisy club, we haven't any complaints. Clean room, good wifi, ample parking, friendly & efficient staff speaking excellent English. We stayed here 2 nights after a bad experience of one night in "Pensiunea Mona"; we found nice people at the reception, at the restaurant. Rooms are average, normal for 3 stars, but clean and cosy. Good temperature inside and comfortable beds. We ate one evening in the restaurant and we were surprised about the prices which were very small and the food was more than ok. Also the breakfast was good for a 3 star hotel, you had a lot of food to choose from. So, considering that I stayed here again after 10 years, I found the same atmosphere. I will return again, if I will have the chance. The hotel has a lot of parking places (which is rare for Busteni area).
