Amazing location situated above Sibiu and near marked trails and historic landmarks, inside a quiet village. The camp offers all amenities and services expected from any large European campsite.
The camp offers different camping spots for trailers, motorhome, tents, cars, etc. between beautiful trees and with amazing views. But it is very cramped and spots are not marked so if you arrive late in the dark as we did it is easy to get stuck between the trees and bushes with a large van and difficult to find your way around. Parking in the cramped spots and driving out when you leave is also not easy.
All amenities and orderly and clean. Showers and toilets are kept clean, there are washing machines and a dryer that was disconnected and seemingly not in use as it was not clean inside. There are plenty of electricity outlets and water filling stations. The camp offers garbage bins fo metal, plastics, packings and foodstuff that can be recycled. It has washing sink stations.
The owner lives in the reception office. On the entrance to the camp it states that the reception is open 07:00 to 23:00, and on the office itself from 08:00 to 23:00. We came late and needed to pay in the morning but reception wasn't open even by 08:15. Telephone calls to the owner were not answered. In our 3rd try the door was open but she was missing, so I placed the payment in cash on the bedside table and left. We needed to leave as we had a tight schedule. We never saw or heard from the owner in that morning.
It is relatively very expensive to stay with a motorhome. You could stay in Airbnb apartments cheaper with parking inside the city itself.
The campsite had dogs unleashed, presumably belonging to the owner as one slept in a crib in front the reception. One is a huge mountain dog who will heavily bark and growl at you until you present yourself and then he is very friendly. I liked him a lot but he could be very intimidating for those who are not as comfortable with dogs or animals.
Overall would recommend, especially when you need a campsite with washing machines in...
Read moreThe host's dog bitten me when I was preparing to leave the camping and I was really close to have an motorcycle drop when the dog bitten my leg. No one intervened and I had to deal alone with the dog. After this incident I was very frustrated and ask my money back, but the reason for my low grade is the host's attitude which instead of providing me first aid, returned my money and informed me that I should go and never get back in their camping. After this incident I had to go to the hospital for anti-tetanus vaccination and even if we had agreed that I will receive the dog's vaccine booklet copy on WhatsApp the host refused this time to send me the dog's vaccine booklet and started screaming at me that I have to provide them my personal identification number or else I won't receive any copy. I had to address this to the local police station to solve my problem and get the dog's vaccine booklet. Except this bad incident that I will not forget my entire life, the camping is flattened in a superb location, the view from the camping is very beautiful, the bathrooms are clean and the prices are fair for what you get. What is missing here is a human to run this business...to care for injured customers not...
Read moreA very nice camping in a former orchand. Many trees giving pleasant shadow. Numerous hammocks. Area for campers, for tents and yurts, too. We paid 95 Lei per night for two people and a tent. You can pay either with cash or card. The camping has an equiped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, electric kettle, cutlery and dishes. There is a terrace with tables and chairs when you can comfortably eat a breakfast or other meals. Toilets and showers are clean. The staff is nice. The only minus was that when we came on Saturday evening, the place was very crowdy and a bit noisy (children playing around, tents close to each other). The water in shower was not cold but neither warm, probably because of extensive amount of people that day. However the next day, and the day after it, water was always hot and everything looked completely different - calm and quiet:-) We had much space and felt almost alone in the tent area. To sum up - we recommend the camping, maybe except Saturdays during the...
